Lambert: "spooke can be a really insane star player"
The French skipper gives his thoughts on OG's direction after a 2-0 win over SINNERS at DraculaN Season 2.

OG beat AM and SINNERS and are through to the DraculaN Season 2 upper bracket semi-finals, where they are set to face off against ECSTATIC.
"It was really important for us yesterday to go 2-0 and get some confidence for this tournament," Lambert "Lambert" Prigent told HLTV after beating SINNERS in the second day of play in Bucharest, which he says could have been a cleaner victory, "but at least we brought our confidence from the start and that's really good for the future."

The Frenchmen also spoke about how the new team is coming together after a disappointing LAN debut at StarLadder, and praised Olle "spooke" Grundström's potential as a star player and Christoffer "Chr1zN" Storgaard's as an in-game leader, and shared what he thinks of ECSTATIC ahead of their semi-final bout.
You can listen to the interview here.
Share your initial thoughts after beating SINNERS 2-0. It felt like you could have even closed it much easier.
Yeah, but we didn't have a good result last week at StarLadder. It's a new lineup so we didn't have any LAN matches with this lineup. It was really important for us yesterday to go 2-0 and get some confidence for this tournament.
This morning we played pretty fine on the first map. We struggled a bit at the start, but I think it also really hard sometimes to start as CT, especially on Inferno, and on Mirage we also played a really good CT side and managed to close it on T side. Maybe we could do it in a better way, but at least we brought our confidence from the start and that's really good for the future.
Talk to me about spooke, he's supposed to be a big star on the team, but he was going through some adversity in the past weeks. He just had a really good series in the most recent match, do you think he's just getting more and more comfortable on LAN?
When we added adamb to the lineup, spooke had like... I don't know what, but I think that he fits really well with the team right now, he played really good CS. He can be a bit of a big brother for Adam, maybe he likes it, I don't know, but he really improved as a player.
He has taken a lot of responsibility recently in the team about calls or how you want to enter a site or how to make the difference, so I'm really proud of him. I think he improved a lot recently and I really want to continue to work with him because he can be a really insane star player. He still needs to improve, but right now, for me, I'm very proud of what he did. He showed what he can do and I'm really happy for him.
You have a lot of aggressive riflers and players who tend to take a lot of space on both the T and CT sides, and arrozdoce is the only typical support player on this team right now. How do you balance it out so everyone feels like they're getting the freedom that they need?
It's hard because as you said, they like to be aggressive, and my job is to make the players happy because they need to like how they play. If you don't like how you play, it's really hard, so obviously I need to activate players sometimes, and build some rounds for certain players.
Like, adamb can be activated on something, and spooke is naturally the star player and needs to do a lot of things, but I can do the same with nicoodoz... arrozdoce doesn't really want to do it, so it's fine for him to play later in the round, but for the other players I feel like we just need to mix a bit how we play and activate the players because they need to be happy.
You've been working with Chr1zN for more than one year. OG before that were struggling to commit to players for a long period of time, but it feels like the dynamic you've been able to create with him and the assistant coach as well, is working. Is that you saying 'we believe in this person?'
When we planned to sign Chr1zN I said directly to OG that we would need to have some time, that they needed to be aware of it, but if we wanted to do it we'd have a really insane in-game leader. But we would need the time and players for Chr1zN. Sometimes it was a bit hard to find the players for Chr1zN, but right now I feel like we have a really good team.
I really believe in this team, and I believe we have to have some support. Sometimes he can miss it, we need to be better overall, but we really want to focus on Chr1zN and work with him, and the other players, but at least for me it's long-term with Chr1zN and we just want to realize it and do what we can with him.
You'll be playing ECSTATIC later. It's a bit of a derby for Chr1zN and nicoodoz. Have you watched them since they added acoR and what do you think about their progress as a team?
They play really well. They're a good team for me, they have really good teamplay, the play a lot together, they're on the same page every time, and that's why I think they're really good. But yeah, we're happy to play a Danish team, it's a good thing for Nico and Chris. I watched them [ECSTATIC] play with acoR a bit and I think they're really good with him, to be honest, he has a lot of experience and can help the team a lot. I'm really happy to play against them and we'll see after.
