ESL Pro League Season 22 Stage 13DMAX beat ENCE to make EPL S22 Stage 2
The French side traversed the first stage with a 3-1 record.
3DMAX have defeated ENCE with a 2-1 scoreline (Dust2 11-13, Nuke 13-5, Ancient 16-14) to qualify for the ESL Pro League S22 Stage 2.
ENCE aren't eliminated after the loss, however, as they will have one more do-or-die clash in the 2-2 pool on Thursday.
The series began on Dust2, where Rigon "rigoN" Gashi led the way for ENCE. The Swiss rifler put up a 1.49 rating in a close 13-11 win on ENCE's map pick, as a one-sided ending to the map secured them a narrow victory.
3DMAX answered with a dominant win on Nuke, where they didn't lose a single CT round on their way to a 13-5 victory thanks to Pierre "Ex3rcice" Bulinge's 2.03 rating.
That meant the victor was decided on Ancient, where the teams couldn't be separated after a 6-6 first half. The same proved for the second half, as the back-and-forth nature of the game meant overtime was needed.
The chaos continued in added time, where clutches and teamkills turned the tide in several rounds, but it was 3DMAX who eventually came out on top, 16-14.
