torzsi: "I want to perform for the Major and I'm just building up for that"
The Hungarian sniper was all smiles after MOUZ nearly kicked off their Pro League campaign with a 13-0 win on Nuke.

MOUZ arrived in Sweden for ESL Pro League after nearly a full month without officials, and made good on all the practice time with an emphatic 2-0 win over GamerLegion to kick off their campaign.
They took their time closing out a 12-2 lead on Overpass, but dominated from start to finish on Nuke with a 12-0 T half. Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás was deathless for the entirety of that effort and was up to a 17-0 K-D before finally getting halted in the final pistol round, and told HLTV after the match that his confidence is high after MOUZ made good use of their time off from events.
"We had a lot of evaluations, watching back our games, the practices, and we focused a lot of playing advantageous situations better and smarter," he says. "We tried to improve the players' thinking in certain situations, and that worked out today."
Congrats on starting EPL with a win. Almost a 13-0, you almost had this crazy deathless game, how are you feeling after that?
First of all, thank you. I feel pretty good, the team feels good as well. A little bit relieved, maybe, because we didn't play for a long time. I wouldn't say we were pressured, but we were a little bit excited to play because we hadn't for a long time, and we're back to officials again. It was nice to play again, and we won pretty convincingly in my opinion. On Overpass, they were coming back on CT side, but I think our Nuke was amazing. Also, we played pretty good on Overpass.
Tell me about that Overpass. Why did it take so long to close it out?
On CT side, we played really well. Really good teamplay, we played advantageous situations really well, really smart, we didn't give them a chance to win. Then they won two Tec-9 rounds, one B pop and one A pop where they caught me. And on the T side, I need to watch back what happened, but I know one round I got spammed through the Connector smoke when we wanted to do a B pop.
That situation was pretty unlucky, but other than that, we lost the force-buy round and maybe we got a little bit frustrated because we didn't close the game down fast enough and maybe we weren't communicating as much as we should have. That cost us to let them back into the game a little bit.
Touching on Nuke a bit more, as I said, almost a 13-0, almost your first-ever deathless game on HLTV. Arriving like that on the server, what does it mean to you and MOUZ? As you said, you've had a month off, so I'm sure there was a bit of a question about how you'd perform.
Yeah. It means a lot, it gives me a lot of confidence individually, and also for the team. For me individually, it means a lot of confidence because I've been working a lot, been grinding Counter-Strike, playing FACEIT everyday, and putting a lot of hours into it because I want to perform now. I want to perform for the Major and I'm just building up for that.
We know that this Pro League is a really good tournament to come back to officials because it has a long format and there are a lot of games to be played. Starting with this game, it gives us a good lead.
You're [two-time] EPL champions and the organization has won [three]. Do you feel like you're in your element a little bit too?
(laughs) Yeah, a little bit, maybe. It would be nice to win again, for us it would be the third title for this generation of MOUZ, but the [fourth] for the organization. And I think it would be the first organization to have [four] EPL titles.
Is that something the organization is talking about?
No, they didn't talk about it, but I heard the guys were talking about it on the couch before the game. So yeah, it's a little bit of motivation, maybe.
Lastly, something Brollan mentioned in London after you lost was that you hadn't had much time to practice, it was hard to implement new strategies, and he was really struggling on that side of things. Now you've had a month off, how much did that help coming into this and what has the preparation been like? That T side on Nuke looked great, 12-0, can't reallt get better than that.
To be honest, it helped so much. Also, the coaching staff set our practices up really well with what we did. We had a lot of evaluations, watching back our games, the practices, and we focused a lot of playing advantageous situations better and smarter. We tried to improve the players' thinking in certain situations, and that worked out today as well.
There were 3v5s that we won and many situations where we had advantages and we were not throwing them away, we were playing them really smart, for the time, and that is helping us a lot. Also, we had a lot of practice on maps where we maybe didn't play the best before, and as I said, a lot of evaluations as well, looking back on the games, and it's giving us a lot.
