Brollan: "We just need to step up for tomorrow because we want revenge"
MOUZ are looking to right the wrongs of their Stage 2 loss against Falcons.

MOUZ made their twelfth semi-final of 2025 at ESL Pro League S22 after getting the better of Natus Vincere in a three-map affair, and are now just two victories away from securing the organization's fourth EPL title.
Falcons are their next opponents, and IGL Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin says the team needs to improve if they want to stay alive in Stockholm after losing to Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski's troops in Stage 2.
"It's happened against especially Falcons, and maybe Spirit and Vitality in the past, that when it actually matters versus a really good team, we don't show up as we usually do," he told HLTV while stating that he and his team are out for revenge.
He also spoke about his development as an IGL, having vocal teammates, and the quarter-final win against Natus Vincere.

Brollan, congratulations, you got over the line versus NAVI and you're into the semis. How does it feel to get that win?
It was a good game. Ancient, maybe we weren't that prepared for it. If you only look at the statistics, maybe both of us are not that good on it. They did good with the map pool, but we really prepared for the rest of the maps and I'm happy that we won it in the end.
How did it feel being on the other end of iM's Deagle on Train?
(laughs) It was... I mean, I remember in Cologne, he had a really good game with the Deagle, and I believe with the AK as well. But he had a really good game, and it was just a throwback from that.
Getting to the semis, you've been here a couple of times already this year, but you're still looking to fully get over the finish line, get to the finals and get a trophy. How does it feel to be on an upward trajectory towards that after not having a trophy since the early part of this year?
We're still confident; we just need to show up. We have been struggling a lot, especially in semi-finals and finals, and I think we can [improve] on that, but we just need to step up when we play better teams. NAVI is a really good team, but we didn't play a good Ancient, we did some sloppy mistakes and we were not that focused early in the game. It was pretty rough, but we just need to step up for tomorrow because we want revenge as well.
We've talked to you a lot about your IGLing, but it's been a while since we've gotten any update about how you're faring and enjoying the role. How has it been for you?
It's going better, really much better, recently. I can easily see it when I need to have more communication in mid-rounds, especially on T sides, and I need to micromanage more. But I need to have more help from my teammates as well. Like, sometimes it was maybe too much micromanaging from my side and I couldn't even focus on my crosshair, which showed in my statistics as well.
I dropped a lot of stats on T side, so I need to focus on that way more, focus on my crosshair, and we talked about it in the team as well. But yeah, especially on the T side, we need to step up in this tournament and going further. I'm working on it a lot since the last tournament.
Something that SPUNJ has pointed out before, and has been audible on broadcast, is how much torzsi and xertioN talk during matches. This event I've heard you a lot more than before, when I'm around for the end of games, has that been something you had a conversation about, you having more of a voice than before?
No, I wouldn't say so. Maybe I try to have more direction in mid-rounds, but I've always been talking the most. It's just that sometimes you can easily see that people are talking, but I'm definitely talking the most in the team. xertioN and torzsi are our CT stars, so they talk a lot because they are in the space-creating or the 'fire-zone' on the map, so of course they're talking a lot, but honestly, I really am talking a lot on T side and I try to be as helpful as I can on CT because it's more anchor roles for me.
I was talking to NiKo earlier today for something we're filming, and one of the questions was about which player hasn't gotten the recognition they deserve this year. He actually said you as one of his names, for your IGLing, how do you feel about that?
(Brollan smiles) Yeah, I mean... it sounds good, of course. There are not a lot of people, maybe from the media mostly, that doesn't recognize my job, if I say so, because of course it's really hard to see if you don't see anything from behind the scenes from any team. But yeah, I'm doing a lot of work, a lot of stress, and yeah, especially when I hear it from NiKo, of course it's really nice and I'm really grateful for the words.
This event, you beat GamerLegion, Gentle Mates, and 3DMAX in the group stage. You lost to Falcons in the first qualifying match and now you're headed towards a rematch in the semis. What's going to be different this time?
Everything is on the line. Before it was the group stage and we had many chances, and I would say we were... I'll say it, I think we played really... they have a really good Ancient overall, they may be the best in the world on it and are really good on it, but I think we can play much better. We are really sloppy in some situations, some entries didn't go our way, and m0NESY got a lot of peeks with the AWP and stuff on Ancient.
We demolished on them on Inferno, but on Nuke... we were ready for it, but we didn't show up. It's happened against especially Falcons, and maybe Spirit and Vitality in the past, that when it actually matters versus a really good team, we don't show up as we usually do, as we did in the group stage. We demolished every single opponent besides Falcons, so we just need to show up in those scenarios.
