fnatic thump MIBR to stay alive in Bucharest

A weakened MIBR without star AWPer kl1m have been sent home.

MIBR's run at PGL Masters Bucharest has been brought to an end by a rampant fnatic.

Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson and Benjamin "blameF" Bremer took full advantage of a chance to boost their confidence against the Brazilians, who were using Bruno "brn$" de Araújo instead of Klimentii "kl1m" Krivosheev, and ended on 1.71 and 2.08 ratings respectively.

Media: kl1m to miss PGL Masters Bucharest

The result puts fnatic into a stacked 1-2 pool in Romania, as they look to prove that their ruthless decision to bench Cai "CYPHER" Watson ahead of the Major was the right one.

fnatic were battling jetlag after CAC in losses against Aurora and FlyQuest, meaning their backs were against the wall versus MIBR despite blameF averaging a 1.46 rating in those two losses.

But the Dane's individual prowess has not gone completely without reward, as fnatic staved off a last-place finish at the very least. And it was blameF who put them on that track, with a startling triple-kill with just a Five-SeveN to win a second-round eco on Inferno.

From there fnatic did not look back, and, on Mirage, KRIMZ — who fnatic said was the other player who may have been benched for Nikita "jackasmo" Skyba — rolled back the years with a 17-9 showing.

The event will go down as one to forget for MIBR, whose attempt to follow in FURIA's footsteps by signing a Russophone sniper went great online in Brazil before a poor result at CS Asia Championships.

After losing kl1m to visa issues, however, a chance to right the wrongs of Shanghai was denied and MIBR will have to wait for the Major for another chance against international competition.

blameF has figured out the new rating system. baiting when you are on low buy gives you more rating also going for an opening pick once when you have good spawn rewards you heavily as well

Well, to be fair a 40-18, 112 ADR, 88% KAST stat sheet would net you a good rating regardless of version

Even with a 26-8 overall win BOT Jackasmo still didn’t even come close to a positive rating. Good luck at the major you snakes 💀

Sorry but it’s a rat move to use the guy to help you qualify for the major and then bench him immediately after

It is, but game is game. IMO they should have gotten rid off him a long time ago.

Why though? I think what fnatic needed the most was first entry player, like those very traditional entry role player (JACKZ, flamez, Teses etc) instead of second entry / map control entry like MATYS / NiKo since fnatic players are mostly passive. It did instant payed off when they got CYPHER no? Maybe the problem after that is, CYPHER is way too agressive? Still the +jackasmo move seems not better, even though it's not the worst.

Let's be honest, klim wouldnt have made a huge difference here. MIBR is such a horribly picked roster with Qikert being a complete dead weight. Whoever thought that they are pulling a Furia v2 should be fired.
