Arbalet Dreamteam market open

We managed to parse all stats of todays matches, although with some difficulties due to the DDoS attack, so we can open the transfer market now.
The transfer market for Arbalet Cup Europe Dreamteam game has been opened, and it will stay that way until second group stage starts tomorrow at 12:00 CET.
This should give you a chance to sell the players whose teams are out of the tournament, or players with whom you are not satisfied with. You can also choose not to change any players, and their values will remain the same until the end of the game.

We announced that we might open the market if we collect all stats on time, which we managed, so here it goes - market is open!

The transfer market for Arbalet Cup Europe Dreamteam game has been opened, and it will stay that way until second group stage starts tomorrow at 12:00 CET.

This should give you a chance to sell the players whose teams are out of the tournament, or players you just want to get rid of. You can also choose not to change any players, and their values will remain the same until the end of the game.

Also, the 1% transfer fee is in effect, so keep that in mind when you are selling someone.

And in the end, feel free to share with us in the comments about how your team performed today, which players you are happy with or not, and which changes you plan on making, if any.

I see one problem with the Dreamteam, the fact that it effects your bank roll how your players do can put you in a vicious cycle .. See if you pick 3 players who play badly, their teams are out and their value has dropped, you can only buy the players who performed bad the same day and only hope they do better but not better your team .. Next time around I think you should give out points for players, and have the bankroll always the same, the players who picked the correct players today, get more money and can buy even better players, but the ones who made 1 or 2 bad decisions, they can't really bounce back because their funds are more limited than at the start ... Just an idea and my view of the competition, but believe me I love this game and would play it the same style next time, just a little hint what could be improved

for choosing right players that played great, there should be a reward, that reward is money! You had choosen wrong players, so why you should now have same chances like others?

Have the chances of a comeback maybe ? What's the point if It's only based on your first picks and you can't redeem yourself by picking players who did well and getting some points in, otherwise it's just based on your first 5 picks if you get a better team instead that you would have to look at stats and changing it up, not just picking 5 players and hoping the best ... My point of view is that you should have to change players and adapt and try that way to get better, not just get the most money for making a lucky decision(lets face it nobody expected peri to get +8100 when most people bought him because he was the by far cheapest and people had filled there teams with expensive players and needed him to balance it out)

true thats what I was thinking too. Its alright to reward someone for making the right choices in the early stages but the player values shoot up so fast and to such levels that apart from top 50 or top 100, others should just simply quit coz they dont have enough to buy the star performers. cs is very unpredictable (as we can see from SK's performance!) and therefore system shouldn't be so rigid as to penalise you too heavily for one mistake which just throws you out of contention altogether. So yday 3000+ people were playing and now only 100 or so players can play in REAL terms in a space of one day. So many guys are playing...they deserve a chance to comeback into the game to atleast some extent. Hopefully Nomad/Nixon will look into this.

The bad thing about this is that people who earned a lot of money on players that are out of the tournament, for example the SK-players, get a new chance to buy new, good players for a lot of cash. I think they have got their chance and they blew it when SK was eliminated. Now when you open the market, guys like me don´t get any advantage to still have their 5 players from the beginning in the tournament. I just think it would be mostly fair if everybody got to keep their team they had from the beginning.

doesn't make any sense. you bought players that you thought would stay on the cup. you knew the transfer market might open in between. other people took the risk to choose players from teams that didn't advance. of course no one knows who will advance and who not but would it be cool if i wanted friis for example in my team? there's no way ravens would have gone through group stage. so no one should buy any players from ravens then? kinda boring imo.... risks, risks my friend

You said it yourself, you don´t know who will go through or not. Of course Ravens can go through, they tied against fnatic for example. Everyone expected SK to go through so of course a lot of people bought players from them. Suprisingly, SK got eliminated. To bad for those who bought players from there. I´m just saying it´s most fair to let everyone keep the team they had from the start. That would show who´s the best of picking a dreamteam for real.

i disagree. "I´m just saying it´s most fair to let everyone keep the team they had from the start. That would show who´s the best of picking a dreamteam for real." that wouldn't show who's the best to pick dreamteam, that would show who's the best to guess the winning team :)

You pick the players you think will go far and earn most money during the whole tournament, you don´t just pick them randomly.

I don´t see your point really, who wins obviously had the best thoughts about which players would go far and do best. It´s not much of a guess you´re doing.

But it shouldn't revolve around just picking the best 5 you can and hoping for the best, most fantasy leagues have a setup where you switch your team around a lot between matches and take more into consideration than just what they should be able As this game is so unpredictable you want to be able to change roles and players based on which team they face, what map they play and etc. Just one example from my ESL Dreamteam, I had pekky as sniper in 2 games, they were in inferno and train, where he of course gets the best out of his awping skillz, then he had a game vs fnatic on de_nuke, I of course subbed him out for someone who had a slighty more open game where who I bought would have more chances of exceeding. It should be based on your ability to roam around HLTV.org, check out who is fragging most with pistols, who's clutching, what team he is playing, what map, and choose based on that. It should be more than a guessing game of who goes through the whole tournament

I get your point but ESL Pro Series goes over a whole season with a lot of matches and nobody gets eliminated there (Team dropouts and player changes excluded). So it doesn´t matter which players you choose in the ESL Dreamteam, you´re in the race the whole season. The thing I didn´t like here is that if you have a good first day and earn a lot of money but your players get eliminated and won´t play more, you can still buy great players for the second round and it doesn´t matter that you might have done a bad choice and chosen players that get eliminated. I don´t think it´s fair to everyone that the market opens before the second round. Not everyone have time to change since it´s such short time between the rounds and it doesn´t give some members the opportunity to come back. It might sound like I´m speaking just for myself now but I´m not. My 5 players are all still in the tournament but haven´t earned me that much money. But by choosing 5 players that still are in the tournament I could have a chance to make a comeback in the second round. That chance was blown when they opened the market and those who, for example now, chose SK-players that earned them money can sell them and get new good players, only losing a really small amount of their money. They still get awesome players while I have to stick with my 5 since I can´t sell them and get better players anyway. Hope that you don´t find me aggressive in any way, of course I don´t mean to be like that. :)

But you still have a lot more cash/points than I do and you got great players since you earned a lot on selling those who made good money today but got eliminated. If everyone got to keep their team from the beginning, guys like me who have 5 players left would have a bigger chance to advance in the highscore.
