Øyvind "KF3" Magnestad brings you his version of what happened at World Cyber Games 2007, in the controversial match between MYM and e-STRO.

Since WCG 2007 in Seattle, many only remember Øyvind "KF3" Magnestad when linked up with the phrase get cancer and die. MYM went out after a controversial match against South Korean side e-STRO, where a lot fingers were pointed as WCG favoring e-STRO.

This is the first time the former MYM member actually speaks about the situation, ever since his exit for MYM shortly after WCG 2007. Magnestad has already posted his blog, his version, about what happened. Below is a small snippet of the full-blog.

"I regret writing it only because of those who have loved ones with cancer or for those who know someone who have it. However, I've got no good thoughts left for the e-Stro players what so ever which tried win WCG 2007 on walkovers. Never seen a team lack so much fair play."

I guees you didnt read the blog or you are terrible at maths... "We had prepared for some months and saw it all go down the drain and that was obviously a hard thing to handle at the age of 18." He also said it happend on WCG 2007, it makes him 21 now ;P

Wrong lineup, it was hee termi solo bail and ari.. If I'm not wrong. But peri and glow wasn't playing in that team back then.

solo , bail , hee , termi , miffy ari joined the team since 2008. miffy was to be replaced by ari.

Retarded rulebook in the first place, especially when it becomes a habit of almost every pro player. You sound like you wouldn't have done the same thing if you had gotten beaten at this event, is that correct?

are you kidding? they had REAL in the best shape of his life, probably best player in the world with f0rest mSx neo and fnx at that time, maybe roman/fr0d. and a KF3 which was the biggest talent of norway up until then right behind REAL, playing amazingly the months he spend in mym, they had plenty chance against emL

I agree to it in a degree. Obviously , MYM guys treated unfairly at this tournament. But I doubt that you would get the trophy. About that time, emulate was soooo damn good. Nobody can defeat them. ofc their heyday was not last for a long time.

its hard to explain but the "Ø" is like the germans "Ö". don't know how to explain it in english. And you don't say the "d". edit: if you spell the english word run in norwegian it would be "rønn". Hope this helps ^^

OYvind ø is a norwegian letter with a spesific pronounciation, hard to describe in writing.

how can you dumbs say that emulate was a WCGteam? You maybe didn't watch GameGune where they won fnatic 16/8, DreamHack Winter where they defeat SK 16/5 & many other tournaments where they placed third SEC etc so stop saying shit & & for the guy who talked about REAL in his best shape i don't think that REAL+KF3 are enough to defeat a team with monster skills & good templay. Well that's not the subject now to compare between teams i just critisis what KF3 said about 50 000 $ :)

well I have relatives with cancer and I knew ppl who died from it but I found the line really funny, in fact I use it some times but I ad "b*tch" :) ppl are too serious about a comment which was deserved :/ even if I like WMF players they lack fair play like SK did some times ago... do we want esport to become a sport with no fair play like football?

At that time REAL and prb was on world class level. specially REAL he was seen as 1 of the best players in the world, MYM owned estro on 2 maps and deserved to advance, and solo was maybe one of the players that used duckjump the most.

WCG-sponsor = Samsung = SouthKorean eSTRO = SouthKorean nuff said ! Samsung and eSTRO wanted to take the WCG-Gold home to SouthKorea by any means necessary ! for me it's obvious.
