French ESWC qualifier this weekend
The French national final for ESWC 2010 will take place this weekend in the city of Rosny-sous-Bois.
Eight teams will be fighting for a total of two spots for the 2010 Electronic Sports World Cup in Disneyland Paris, France. Creme de la Creme of the French Counter-Strike 1.6 have been split into two groups of four teams, where top two placed teams will receive access to the playoffs. Playoffs will begin with a best-of-one map format, while the final will be best-of-three maps, all in a singe-elimination bracket.
Former YoYoTech team, now known as Fair Frag, scored top spot at NeXen LAN in Lille, which set them high on the list of teams who could be grabbing one of the two spots. They are however in group with the NeXen runners-up from BURNING!, who will be looking to redeem themselves after a 2-0 defeat. aAa and D4Gaming are the two final teams in the group, who most likely will be playing for just third and fourth place.

Favorites in Group B are mojawi, who disappointed their supporters when finishing fourth at NeXen LAN. With Steeve "Ozstrik3r" Flavigni unable to attend the event due to a wedding, Millenium will strive to finish within top two with their ringer Romain "MystiQ^" Dane. iGamerz and prodigy-esc will be candidates to challenge Millenium for the second place in the group, but climbing higher seems unlikely.
