MYM and H2k secure WCG qual spot

The Swedish World Cyber Games pre-qualifier at the Inferno Online cybercafe has just been concluded, seeing Meet Your Makers and H2k-Gaming advance to the country finals at DreamHack Summer.

Eight teams gathered in Sweden's capitol, Stockholm, at the Inferno Online cybercafe to fight for two spots to the World Cyber Games qualifier at DreamHack Summer in less than a month.

MYM, H2k, Stockholm Angels and duttdutt made it to the playoff stage, and as many predicted, the Grand Final would be fought off between MYM and H2k-Gaming, a sure test for the newly revamped teams.

The match started out on de_inferno, which turned out to be very tight in the first half. H2k managed to secure eight rounds, whereas MYM were under by one. This was when H2k kicked in and raced away from the MYM team, sealing the map at 16-9.

On de_train, the roles were turned and Meet Your Makers came out victorious after defeating H2k in a 16-8 manner.

The last and deciding map, de_dust2, turned out to be a thrilling match of the few. MYM stated a 14-9 lead, and when it all seemed to go MYM's way, H2k were able to repeat their stint from de_inferno, and set the score to 15-14. However, MYM managed to secure the following round, and the match was in for overtime.

This seemed to be H2k's break, and they could happily seal the match at 19-16, after beating MYM with a 4-1 score.

my guess is that h2k looks more of a mix than mym, so logically talking, mym should have won today; both barbar & moddii have put up a strong play so definitely great additions.. but for mym, the character and mind-set of the in-game leader will be the only thing making the difference..

Winner faces SK in semifinal, loser faces fnatic in semifinal. H2k vs SK & fnatic vs MYM.

i guess h2k found there line-up! they played very well 3th map... and idk why krhystal hasnt found a team, he is playing so sick!

well then had a very good lineup before departure of face and khrystal to SK. I'm talking about old-Lemondogs lineup with kHRYSTAL face FYRR7E niko and threat. Now they are very good and with a pracctice they will be on the top. But as history shows, when H2k goes good and MYM, SK or fnatic goes bad they are trying to take players from H2k. You can remember SK taking face and khrystal, mym taking fyrr7e, fnatic taking threat.

yeaah, they had a very good time as lemondogs... but i guess the last h2k lineup could have more success... they where a very good time together, but with krhystal, niko and fy773 h2k will maybe conquist more than before! and yeah, allways the teams with more fans and influence will 'steal' the best players from the underdogs... its allways like that, also in other sports... ;/

MYM biggest mistake was that they dropped kHRYSTAL "FYRR73" but what we will do. Gudluck H2K

they didn't drop kHRYSTAL. There was no signed deal between MYM and kHRYSTAL, so khrystal was like a free agent. Same situation was with moddii. Only thing they did it was swapped FYRR7E with BARBARR.

ok both are still mix .. with some more starts mYm > h2k for sure

It's quite even for both of the teams. Delpan & BARBARR vs niko & khrystal. MYM have a big aimer - moddii while zet has lost his previous ( you know which ) skill. Meanwhile H2k has Xizt and fyrr7e. Plus pronax has a good reflexes and mind. Dunno who's calling strats for MYM, but from my point of view it's pita+zet < any duet of H2k. Could anyone tell me where is pita's sick aim which we could see few month ago?

MYM is amazing, and will be amazing <3 MYM even when they were doing shitty.. H2K are very good too..they both will be amazing teams, MYM will be a top5 team when it's said and done, and H2K will be a top ten eventually..

For H2k this match today was much harder since they had less praccs than MYM, and they played more like a mix. When H2k will fix the team as they can do, they will be a top3 team in Sweden after fnatic and SK and in my opinion they might even take SK's 2nd place and start fighting for a top place in the world. Don't forget, niko FYRR73 and kHRYSTAL are very experianced players and they can make this team much better than they were. <3 H2k, and gj! :) wp

They had as much time as MYM for pracc since they swapped players. Two players were exchanged for both sides and it's a 40% of the team. One of the main factors in my opinion was - which team can learn and train faster.

#29 they had equal time to practice and match could've gone either way, but in the future MYM will be better, but now that niko is in H2K(the key to this team) as their igl and does an amazing job leading the team and amazing with rifles and just as good with an awp as kHRYSTAL is, he's the difference maker... i really like H2K and they will be a top 10 team and to me a HUGE international threat.. but i think MYM will be the team to make it to the top5 go MYM, keep practicing!! <3

you and #43 probably don't know what you're talking about. first of all, no, they didn't have the same amount of time to pracc, MYM started earlier and H2k started to pracc only when things with the deal of FYRR73 sorted out. MYM started to pracc serval days before H2k, and H2k only few hours to pracc before this event.. so, in this little time that they had i think they did a lot. second thing, niko isn't H2k igl, pronax is.. and more than that, i don't think he's a key player in H2k ... probably FYRR73 and kHRYSTAL are. About MYM.. I don't think they will reach the top again because of my own reasons which i prefer not to reveal here ;)

It did mather quite alot, becouse the winner got to play SK @ dreamhack. MYM will have to play fnatic at dreamhack. And SK isnt performing that good atm and i really do think that H2k will beat SK. I think that MYM would beat SK aswell if they got to play vs them.

fyrr73 khrys and niko back together and there it goes, they shoud have never broke up in the 1st place (niko fyrr73 face threat and khrystal), h2k is better than SK atm.
