Unibet drops eu4ia support
Team Unibet have announced they have opted against sponsoring eu4ia at the Spanish ESWC qualifier.
The famous betting company had announced it would support the former Ledpc team at the ESWC qualifier, which will take place this weekend at the LEVEL UP center in Zaragoza.
Unibet had indicated the nature of the deal was temporary but stressed they were interested in bringing them in on a permanent basis.
However, they have now decided to pull the plug on the deal after discovering the eu4ia players are still tied down to contracts with Ledcpc.
"We at Unibet have decided to rectify what is related to the sponsorship of the ex-Ledpc and remove the support for several reasons," Carles Rodríguez of Unibet told arenazero.net.
"Among them is the fact that the "ex-players" are still Ledpc.com players and the company Unibet Ltd. will not sponsor players from other teams."
The move comes as a major blow to the former Ledpc men just 48 hours before the qualifier's kickoff. Still, eu4ia have been confirmed for the event, where they will feature:
