SK swap in-game leader

SK Gaming have opted to change their in-game leader prior to DreamHack Summer in two weeks.

Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström confessed that SK Gaming would undergo changes before attending DreamHack Summer when he got interviewed by fragbite.se at IOL 2.4. Dahlström did not wish to reveal what type of changes the team would opt for, but today the team unveiled their choice.

Dennis "walle" Wallenberg yesterday posted a blog stating that he would step down as ingame leader, while Dahlström would take over, just as he did at DreamHack Winter 2008.

"A very important Dreamhack Summer is awaiting us in 2 weeks and after our upset at the Arbalet Stockholm event in may we really had to get our act together and bring some changes into the team. So what did we change? I'm not calling strats solely anymore. We decided to give this task to RobbaN, as he did this for the Dreamhack Winter in 2008, where we won gold. This means that I can concentrate on the good old AWP again - look out!" – states the blog.

Dahlström back in the middle for SK

The team will in two weeks time attend DreamHack Summer, where they will participate in a total of three tournaments; the DreamHack tournament, Swedish WCG qualifier and IOL FINAL4. Whether the team will be able to go deep and eventually go for gold, you will have to tune in with us in two weeks to find out.

Changing in game leader and changing playstyle by walle is alot. Whats the point of kicking rifler for a sniper like alot of teams do if you have a player who can just give up rifle and take awp?

markeloff - aimer don't sniper... You did not see it 1-2 years ago. And I have seen this player right at the beginning of its career. So it is not necessary to speak about what you do not know. It aimer. That it plays that with AWP with advantage does not do by its sniper. It all the same aimer

Agree, being the IGL is not easy at all and I imagine how it should be in bigger competitions It will be nice to see the Best AWP of The Decade back in action.

i predict Robban wont frag so well because of this change, SK will still fall a little short of where they would like to place, and haters will call of Robban to be replaced because of his lower than average performance. having said this, I do think this is a relatively good change. think SK will be an improved side this event but atm i dont see them winning it. but good luck

If I remember it correctly then in 2009 or 2008 fall they already did this once when RobbaN replaced walle as in-game leader. Yeap just read the whle article and found it... We decided to give this task to RobbaN, as he did this for the Dreamhack Winter in 2008, where we won gold.

I think it's only going to clear his mind and he's going to own again. He started to call strats in 2006 with NiP and was still a beast, clutching everywhere, but after that he began to fade. I'm sure this is just because he was putting more time stratting than actually shooting. ;)
