FireGamers qualify for ESWC 2010

FireGamers have qualified for the ESWC Finals in Paris following a 16-12 victory over CNB Gaming on de_inferno.

FireGamers required just one map to book a spot for the ESWC finals in France after coming from the Upper Bracket, and they made sure to leave the competition untouched as they handled the matter on the first map.

A bright start from FG, who began the match on the offensive side, saw them storm to an early 6-1 lead. CNB were finding it very hard to counter FG's pushes, and they all they managed was to get two more rounds as the scoreboard showed 12-3 at the break.

It was expected that FG would bag the win quickly after such a big margin, but CNB came in very strong in the second half by winning the opening six rounds. They still managed to take the game to 13-12, but at such point FG kept their cool and won the last three rounds to secure the ESWC spot.

They all left 1 by 1, bit got kicked for kikoo to join, fnx got kicked for spacca to join, nak decided to quit by hisemlf, bruno has been out of mibr since 2008 when they went for CSS, bit left fg for mibr but when mibrs lineup disbanded last year he went back to fg to replace prd.

The original mibr lineup is the old ARENA.dba team, which had pred, eduzin, corassa (can't rememer the other two). Even before KIKO and cogu join. MIBR is a Carioca (from the Rio de Janeiro state) organization, while cogu, nak, fnx, btt, bit, chucky, bruno, spacca, prdd and many others are from the state of Sao Paulo... Rio de Janeiro has never contributed to CS player wise anyways, Sao Paulo is the powerhouse here.

i just dont know how mibr could loose 2 games where they were winning very easy against cnb they stop at 14 rounds and cnb was like 4 rounds against goldenglory they did 15 and gg was with 5 , and they still loose it.

Yeah, on nuke against CNB, mibr was able to get a 11-4 CT side, and a 3-0 advantage on TR side after winning the pistol round, 14-4 and still CNB walked away victorious, but it was a very well played game by CNB, we must take our hats to them. Prd had a very strong ramp hold as he was early picking one or two guys every round.

I think it's still too soon to say FalleN is as good as cogu, cogu was an international level player, FalleN still have a big road to get there, but I gotta say, the guy knows how to handle the green weapon too!
