Antwerp Aces removed from EAS
Antwerp Aces have been removed from the ESL Amateur Series after claiming too many penalty points.
The Belgian team has exceeded maximum penalty points allowed, after scoring six major and ten minors. Their fate was decided today, as the players did still not have premium accounts over a five-matches-span, leading to five major penalty points.
Because of this, Antwerp Aces will not be able to secure access to the EPS season five. The Belgians will have to venture into the next EAS season, and try to advance to the first division.
Antwerp Aces is however not the only team hailing from Benelux which has been removed. Netherland-based Shadows were today demoted from the ESL Pro Series league, down to the ESL Amateur Series. The last year's EPS winners have exceeded the total allowed penalty points line of 35%.

Following the incident of Antwerp Aces removal from the ESL Amateur Series, team manager Sam Janssens has issued a formal explanation to bescene.net.
He urges that the penalty points which Antwerp Aces received was rightfully given, and that the Electronic Sports League is not to blame, as many fans and people have uttered on diverse websites. Janssens states that Antwerp Aces did not purchase premium accounts, as several members were in a hefty period followed by exams and school projects.
Janssens furthermore points out that both Antwerp Aces and the ESL have the same goal in common; to bring gaming in a positive light, clearly hinting to the negative comments the ESL has received.
