fnatic launch new tournament series

fnatic and MSI are these days promoting their new notebook, and have therefore launched a new series of tournaments, which will feature a total of $65,000 and a LAN final in Beijing, China.

The tournament series has been named "BEAT IT", and is a brand new platform for all future fnatic PLAY tournaments, with a new design and features to make the gamers feel comfortable with their tournaments, fnatic.com reads.

The newly-announced tournaments will boast a massive prize pool of $65,000, divided into four game genres: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Quake Live, Heroes of Newerth, and Counter-Strike 1.6.

Regarding the Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament, it will see two qualifying stages this month, whereas an online final will be held between 23-25th of July. The qualifier will send one team to the LAN final in Beijing, the 4th of September, with all expenses paid.

Further information is to be disclosed the coming weeks.

Everything is online mate. Winners of the CS 1.6 and QL tournament will qualify for the tournament in Beijing, "all inclusive" by us and MSI.

The e-prophets were right people, this game is dying, can't you see it!? Also, fnatic's site says the 1.6 finals are on 23rd, 24st (little typo there haha) and 25th of July, while in this news it's September. So... which one is right?

Yeah I figured that, but I was hoping for a tournament on the end of september. Anyways, the sooner the merrier amirite? Plus it'll give me two weeks to celebrate Brazil's sixth World Cup before watching a shit ton of top teams battling it out, so it's all good 8D.
