e-Stars 2010 teams not determined

The e-Stars Seoul 2010 organisers have taken down the alleged list of attendees from their website.

As the e-Stars 2010 community vote had ended yesterday, the organisers' website displayed the vote results, and a picture of what seemed to be a list of the chosen attendees.

The picture showed UNiTED, Frag eXecutors and Natus vincere representing the West, while TyLoo, WeMade FOX and TitaNs making up for the east. The image has now been removed, and HLTV.org has been issued a confirmation that the information posted was false.

The final result will be announced on the 28th of June, and the current roles will be taken into account for picking six worthy attendees:

- 50% = Community fan vote
- 30% = Achievements from 2009~2010
- 20% = Committee evaluation

lets hope fx and united havent bought air tickets yet!

it was online, and unfortunately kuben had some internet problem during the last 2 rounds, so FX had to play without him. Fx would've won if kuben had played the last round, which was a 1v1. it was a great match for both teams. gg mtw anyway xD

I think it's ok that one best CIS team is in this voting list (also forze but nvm) and could represent team West in this event. And according to teams' winning during the 2010, United are 4th below Na'Vi, fnatic and mouz (source: www.goodgame.ru/news.php?ocd=view&id=6140 ), so they have many and many fans who vote for them. Read the whole message omg, i told u that the more team earns winning or placing prize places in different tournaments the more fans it have. So it explains why united have so much votes and why the commitee have chosen them. And commitee members dont even care how good any team is, they need to do a tournament, which will be popular, so they invite the most popular teams. This is all about money.

navi and fnatic the most succesful teams this half year. sk didn't archive anything this year, just got attention through switching a player. united never archived anything(exept some russian tourneys. mtw became 3rd @arbalet but that was it. mouz won the iem continental finals, got really close beating navi during the world finals. and missed 1 round to come to the playoffs @arbalet. ohh and never heard anything from fx since the wcg. thats just a fact.

if your looking at a year though, you can add 2nd at Arbalet europe and Dreamhack 3rd WCG to mTw and maybe a 1st place in ESL nordic. 1 IEM supercup to mouz. i believe it's the last year they compare the teams in, most likely though waying the most recent results highest.

Organisers 20% should be irrelevant here. East = 1st/2nd/3rd in public voting, and 1st/2nd/3rd in results. Again, organisers 20% should be irrelevant. If the 6 chosen teams are anything other than what i just listed, then something is fucked up..

Oh, one more thing, I forget about it: voting has ended at 16.00 CET, and it was the end of the day (Korea 24.00). The result was: Navi, United, Fx. Main fail from organisers was that, they didn't closed the poll. Everyone still could vote, but that votes just don't count (so along 40.000 faked) - after time.

If I´m not wrong two best teams from Sweden attend WCG every year. And these to teams, which attend WCG had to won country qualifiers, so they were really the best in their country.. actually they won 'ESWC Masters 2009', its like a qualy, there was one in 2008 too (Masters of france or something like that) There was no eswc last year. Its a great achievement though xD

As for me, West should be mouz, fnatic and Navi. Fx and mtw paying the price for a pretty low performance during the evaluated period, especially the former. They would even have to include SK before these! For the East team, well, not much more to choose from.

I have to say,that voting system must be changed totally,for example ppl from Sweden can't vote for Swedish teams and same things with other nations,so ppl wont abuse voting.Current voting system is weak,cause every single user which have got dynamic IP in his locan area,possibly can use any IP adress in diapason from x.x.0-255.0-255 and that's about 65000 of votes :D,though chance of this is rly low. On the other hand we've got proxy servers that no one didn't mentioned,I can easily get much votes through American/English and etc proxies for my favorite team (i've gotta list with 750 proxy servers but not all of them supports everything needed for voting. So I think that voting system must be removed,and invition system must be changed for 50% of team results for the last year and 50% comitee evaluation,that would be realy fair

and yea,if we're talking about invites,if i could invite 3 teams form west i would invite fnatic and navi as two best european team atm (and probably the best worlds) and EG as the best North American team,that looks fair enough,cause fx is equal to SK,mtw,united and mouz atm,seems like they're not stable at all and they cant even reach playoffs during two big events in a row P.S fnatic + Na'Vi + the hardest comittee decision
