fnatic in narrow FireGamers win

fnatic have booked the first spot in the second group stage at the ESWC world finals after a 16-14 victory over FireGamers.

Both teams had faced each other during the group stages at the WCG finals, where FireGamers were the happier side, but this time around it was the Swedish giants to have the edge as they posted a narrow 16-14 success.

Things did not look good for FireGamers in the earlier stages of the match, as the Brazilians found themselves down 7-0. However, they managed to keep their composure and thanks to some well-coordinated offensive moves they were down by just one round at half time.

In the second half, FG got the lead after winning the pistol round, but fnatic quickly put a hault to their assault to level the game once again. A series of close rounds then followed, with the teams taking turns to rounds, but in the end fnatic got the win in the last round.

lol, stairs = FG's weakest point, carn realize a little bit late imo, and when they did realize, they just pushed 5 times in a row, and it worked. btw fnatic rush stairs at finals so many times, it's not a random tactic, f0rest +dsn +carn+ get_right = pretty imba at cat walk

They did against SK as well in recent tournaments

Marcus, that wasn't random at all, fnatic tried different things before but couldn't make it. They found that stairs was a weak spot for FG and exploited it. Very clever of them. And I must add, DSN pretty much decided the TR side for fnatic. Anyways that was an awesome match, 16-14 agains fnatic? Not bad at all! Well played by both teams, specially DSN and FalleN :D

For the people that are saying that fnatic played randomly, you're wrong... They were playing with tacticts and losing, then they found out that FG stairs wasn't advanced anymore and took advantage of that. It was the only possible way to win. Don't say they did that because it was easy, they did that because they didn't have any other options... Maybe now FG can take some respect for the people who said they were up to nothing in this tournament... at least I hope so...

fallen's a beast but im impressed with nak too. he pretty much closed b. 1 round he hit some insane shots in b and after that fnatic rushed cat 5 rouds in a row.
