ESWC reverses decision, FG through

The ESWC organisation has reversed its decision to disqualify Mojawi Gaming from the event, which sees FireGamers through to the quarter-finals.

The tournament officials had initially ruled that Mojawi Gaming would be disqualified from the event after leaving the server half way through their last group encounter with FireGamers.

Such a decision would put FG below H2k in Group C, but on the basis of fairplay, the two teams would play against each other in overtime to decide who would enter the knock-out stages.

However, the ESWC has now backtracked as Mojawi Gaming will no longer be disqualified from the competition, which sees FireGamers finish in second place.

We have interviewed members of H2k Gaming and FireGamers, so stay tuned to our website for their reactions on this matter.

Yes, however if ESWC wants to be called best e-sport organization, they have to make decisions that are thought through and not just rush in and change it after 1 minute. They have to be more professional in what they are doing.

From a neutral American's standpoint, this was the right decision. Why? Because the ESWC admin that was watching the FG/Mojawi match said it was okay if they left since they were going to get eliminated anyways. Little did he know that he was actually letting them break the rules. Its ESWC's fault and FG shouldn't have to pay for it.

i'd just like to mention to hltv.org admins/mods that there is a little something wrong with the stats around FG. it says in team stats for the event they are -4 when they are actually +37, and it says their rating is .97 when it should be 1.05. idk if this is true for any other teams, but i just noticed that the numbers weren't even close to adding up for FG when i was looking at the stats.

Well, even though I think that they should have played an overtime mr5 or something. Would be the closest to fair if you ask me. FG got 13 free rounds! 13! Which is kinda a lot. Not saying that they wouldn't get all 13, but they got them for free. An overtime would ensure that the best team moved on - since they actually played a draw earlier = )
