We talked with Yegor "markeloff" Markelov after the defeating SK-Gaming and conquering the ESWC 2010 championship.

Markelov talks about the main changes of Na`Vi from DreamHack to this tournament, why they lost the first map to SK-Gaming in the final and what feelings he and his teammates felt after winning such great event against another top team.

if you watch their ct side on de_dust2, you can see plenty of errors tactic-wise. for example, there was a round that markeloff and one more Na`Vi guy (i think it was starix?) were trying to save their guns but in the last minute, some SK guy killed markeloff. Despite this, Zeus decided to go for a buy, completely overlooking the fact that markeloff had no awp in hand nor any money left to buy a decent gun because he was killed in the previous round. only starix could drop a weapon for the team. zeus, edward, and starix with guns. markeloff and ceh9 were only armed with usps. lol. :D They lost the round, completely screwing themselves up economy-wise. The next round, again zeus called for another buy round instead of saving. So this is why zeus was at fault for bad calls. XD

perfectly explained, thanks. btw Markeloff doesn't have feelings, he is just programmed to make facial expressions, but if Zeus made a lot of mistakes, that's it, his fault. End of the story. Haha this guy is amazing.

The team starting on the favorable side on each map won that map. I don't think that's a coincidense. That very often seems to be the case nowadays between the top-teams.

how is ct favorable on inferno? I can agree starting ct at train is an advantage, but in no way is ct side an advantage on inferno.

in interview in Ukraine Zeus mentioned that he did a lot of mistakes because of nerves( Its not completely polity of Markeloff to say such a things after to great maps and great callings by Zeus)

markeloff is the man. I think GOD blessed his awp skill (: My favorite team still fnatic, but Na`Vi are playing really well. IMO markeloff makes the difference in the team in so many aspects. Without him i think Na`Vi would not do much damage.
