MYM to disband - Report

According to rakaka.se, Meet Your Makers will soon confirm the disbandment of their Counter-Strike division.

The Swedish team were last seen at DreamHack Summer last month, where they finished behind mTw and H2k Gaming for the third place and a cheque of little over €1,000.

MYM had only recently added Andre "BARBARR" Möller and Andreas "moddi" Fridh to the fare, but according to reports in Sweden, the team have decided to break up after just one event with the new line-up.

rakaka.se cites sources close to the team to indicate that MYM's players have decided to go their separate ways, which could see them join new projects in the future.

MYM have the following quintet:

Marcus "zet" Sundström
Andre "BARBARR" Möller

Yer we have to be objective Germany was the best team at this WC. But the Spain did it excellent. Keeping Scheiwnsteiger under pressure really helped Spain and paralysed Germany.

oh come on... defend well and counter.. that is all that germany was... spain was the only team that saw past it... they defended in number just like germany and didn't let them near the ball because they had more quality than germany... trust me those two matches are all they will get... they won't dominate good teams again... they were lucky to play that well and not the other way around...

i hope pita keeps playing too:] i dont see fnatic or SK swapping out a player anytime soon, and if they do it will be most likely because someone from SK decides to retire next year... so the only place i could see pita finding a solid home would be h2k as far as established organizations go... or he could choose to start something new:P

Thats what I said ;P Really, hes a good player. Best AWP in the world .. I think its different day to day, TBH, but I don't know. I have actually played against delpan (aim_map and so on) and .. well .. I lost. Its bloody amazing how someone can aim that good! But still, walle does not need to be replaced!

i cant really see any1 atm, capable of putting a fight.. markeloff have a insane team backing him up when he misses, frod isnt the same from col times.. fallen is capable, with the right training and international events knowlegde, of being the next cogu, so atm i dont see any1 at delpan's level.. :)

It's hard to compare because MYM was not a top team, but I think backup is backup and in awp vs. awp situation markeloff, Sunde and dsn could all be better. Anyway he certainly is one of the best.

No please, dsn IS fnatic, just like f0rest and cArn. Delpan could come in but without getting dsn's spot and could be the main awper, because dsn is one of the most consistent players with every weapon. Ontopic, bad news, MYM had really great line up, moddii and Delpan should stick to something better, they are wasted talent!

The dreamteam would be get_right, f0rest, carn, delpan, gux. But that wont happen, I dont think gux will leave sk since their doing good atm. But I would really like to see delpan to fnatic since it's really fun to spectate delpan when hes on fire ^^ -threat +delpan

The thing is Fnatic dont always need a sniper in their tactics, I mean delusion isnt with awp on T side on dust2 for example, neither on inferno's T side, on tuscan i dont see him sniping often and so on... I mean a big sniper isnt obviously needed in the kind of game they are playing.

Well, this days dsn doesn´t play with the awp so mouch, but still he is very good with it. But delpan is truly the best in Sweden, and top 3 in the world i think, so... threat out delpan in. if i were threat now i would be kind of scared to be kicked out from the team

About the Carn thing yeah, about Threat being a Tac leader in Fnatic, that's just what i thought when he came to Fnatic. Now i dont really know what to think of it, i mean they showed they can build strong new tacs against Na'Vi with threat, he may not have the skill of Gux but he is still good.

Because imo is harder to replace an ingame leader than it is an aimer. You rarely ever hear of a team just picking up a new ingame leader and it working out. With threat you have that other ingame leader already within your team so when carn leaves you can just pick up another role player/aimer. It is just easier to fit a player to a teams play style than it is for a team to adapt to a new ingame leader.

Well, I'm sad to say this since I love MYM, it's my favorite team (Sorry Na´Vi), but I'm afraid this team really was a one hit wonder. They just don't have what it takes as a team to be a threat to fnatic/SK and will remain a semi team no matter how hard they try. Delpan is an amazing player (top 10 in Sweden no doubt) and number 1 AWP in Sweden, I wish Marcus all luck in the world and I hope he will join one of the best teams in the future, because he deserves a great team. GL moddii, pita, zet and BARBARR.

If the rumor is true I bet FYRR73 and kHRYSTAL are a little revealed :D If they do disband it opens a lot of doors up for possibilities. Like two or three of the MYM guys teaming up with the likes of Dennis and manne. I personally would like to see a line up that looks something like dennis, manne, moddii, Delpan/BARBARR and then adding an experienced leader like snajdan to the mix despite him being out of the scene for a while. Whatever does happen it should be good.

I also think that, Delpan should replace walle. I like walle, he's my favourite player and he is playing amazing right now but he is becoming old. Delpan should replace him but not yet. Maybe after 2-3 tournaments. Then walle should step away by himself.

It doesn't work out with threat. cArn is way better than threat and adding delpan would be perfect. if delpan joins and everything works out perfect then i doubt cArn wants to retire in the near future. They don't need to keep an underperforming player for 1 year or two just because he might take over the role as ingame leader when the current one retires.

dsn is the most underrated player in Sweden. He is a better rifler than Delpan. The only reason he doesnt top the frags every map is because forest and gtr are on the same team.

Walle won't unfortunately last very long in SK as he is old enough for some kind of a different career. So there will be some space for the player's that are right now on the market. I won't swear that SK is watching out for some new players but if I was a member of their management I would right now try to find some replacement for the aging players even though I really like walle: Honestly, I really am a big fan of him and I never doubted that he would be able to come back and show aspects of his early career's form. If walle leaves or if he is to be leaving it will be a big hole for the counter-strike scence that would be left behind.

I think it was bad for MYM when Jumpy announced his retirement, because he was actually MYM, he was the most brilliant ingame leader, I mean his tactics were amazing and MYM's game was all about tactics and teamplay. Jumpy felt there was need of some changes in the team, and he decided to step himself from it. I don't think MYM will disband, because they are just at the begining, as zet just found a stabile lineup for the team, with BARBARR and moddii in it, and also i don't think there is need of some extra changes in it, because they are all very good players and they are fitting perfectly. As for zet, he played in NiP, this says everything about him, just the fact that he is getting older and his passion for this is starting to fade, same as walle does. And about fnatic, for those that don't know, dsn formed fnatic and he is very important as player, and as person. I'm sure that if dsn retires, cArn, Get_Right and f0rest will lose motivation to play, and cArn will retire surrely. And Threat is a very important player into the team, because he and cArn are temperating the roster and are building the structure and teamplay of it. So stop saying that threat and dsn needs to be replaced, cArn knows better what is good for his team, as he knew when he added Gux.

delpan will join sk for walle , then walle will built a team with khrystal and fyrr73 , after 2 months sk will kick allen ,then krhrystal will join. zneel will join h2k and pronax will join fnatic while f0rest will built a team with robban allen +manne and hyvlarn.after 1 month fyrr73 will be kicked and they will pick moddii who was playing to h2k till then.after that h2k will take an awper from fnatic (Delpan) and fnatic will take walle........... after 2 years zet will join SK with pronax and allen will quit while striker will come back with dennis xizt +2 randoms

fnatic are doing not so good as in 2009, i think they need a new player with a good motivation and skill, like Delpan. They should replace threat with Delpan, and dsn with delpan as the main awp. fnatic 2010 < fnatic 2009 =( and MODDII ? she should be in top teams. SK? They should replace many players (allen walle robban) imo =) they're doing well , but .. =)

Ok? Replacing 2 players with 1, bad move dude. MODDII is a dude dude, not she. SK should not replace anyone, their making a nice run and are the n.1 team in Sweden atm And THREAT is not the one to replace in fnatic. Carn has been thinking about quitting for some time now and I believe he's the one stepping down (dsn may very well follow him they've always played together) and that leaves THREAT as igl. So, Delpan could replace dsn if he quits and if THREAT takes the lead and carn quits they should bring in a fragger like pita. Get MODDII, get disband. 100% truth as we've seen over and over again.

Don't get me wrong dude but... if pita gets into fnatic - this legendary team is dead... Imo there will be no fnatic without carn&dsn and threat really needs to be changed. PS. As always do I will repeat once more - there's nothing left from fnatic 2009 because one of the authors of their success - Gux - is in SK.

there are too many newbies in here giving their opinion on potential team lineups who have no idea how to build a successful team if you are wondering what im talking about ask yourself why moddii's (easily on of the best fraggers in the world atm) teams have failed in the past year or so... or why SK failed so bad with get_right and why fnatic became undoubtedly the best team in the world for a whole year its not about names, its about chemistry and teamwork. all the players listed in this thread have the skills that can win a major tournament, names and skill aren't the most important thing in this game having said that i do agree that fnatic whould profit (at least in 2010) from replacing threat with delpan

fnatic needs to pick up Delpan and remove threat ... and SK needs moddii to support GuX on the madfragging part , but i think SK wont be removing any players .... the only player who i can see being replaced is allen but he is the most experienced player in SK , walle and robban will play with each other and kicking face/gux cannot happen... maybe a total change in SK , like new IGL and new fresh players but i dont see anyone (other than cArn) to be as good at IGLeading than robban/walle in sweden so fingers crossed :D
