Playzone lose three to army

Playzone have announced they have been reduced to just two players as Otto "danzer" Dimitrow, Jirka "jiGetus" Ryhti and Miikka "dRiim" Toroi will serve in the military.

The Finnish side were last seen at the ESWC finals, where a -8 round difference meant they lost out to Natus Vincere in the group's standings.

Despite the trio's hopes of moving their military service, which is compulsory in Finland, to a later date, the Finnish army have rejected the request and ordered them to begin their service, which has a minimum duration of six months.

The decision comes as a huge blow to Playzone, who have been left with just two players, Joni "Freon" Huumo and Kimmo "BASiC" Fagerholm, with Huumo stating they are on the lookout for fresh talents.

"On Monday we will start practicing with some new players," he told HLTV.org "Playzone are still supporting us, but we are not making our line-up official yet, since we want to get the best possible lineup with hungry players."

With Power Gaming having recently announced their line-up, raiding them for some players could be a possibility, but Huumo says he will not shop there.

"Power Gaming have their thing going and we would not like to ruin it for them or the rest of them," he added.
