fnatic win two-day match vs Na´Vi

fnatic have made their way to the Grand Final at the IEM5 Global Challenge Shanghai, after finishing a two-day match against Natus Vincere.

Yesterday the match got postponed when reaching the third map. Until then we had experienced an absolutely epic match, seeing Na´Vi managing a 16-14 win on de_train and fnatic winning 21-18 de_dust2. Following a night of great sleep for the teams, the third map de_inferno got kicked off this morning.

Starting on the CT side, Na´Vi won the pistol-round and started out strong against the Swedes, who seemed to struggle a bit in the beginning. fnatic did however fight their way back to claim a 9-6 lead at half-time. Now playing the CT side, fnatic won the pistol-round and the following eco rounds by Na´Vi. The Swedes managed to reach 15-10 without too much of a hassle, but executing five match points became troublesome for them, as Na´Vi stepped up their game. In the very last round of the ordinary playing time, fnatic sealed the deal at 16-14 to move in to the Grand Final.

With this win fnatic will play TyLoo.raw for who gets to claim victory in Shanghai, scheduled to start at 07:00CET. The winner of the match will not only receive at $14,000 cheque, but also direct access to the IEM5 World Championship.

Na´Vi will play TyLoo for the third place, a match that will determine who will get $5,000 and who will go home with $3,500. This match will start within the next 15 minutes, meaning around 04:30CET.

not fragwise, and whimp wasnt the best fragger in mTw in 2008. Trace complete MJE's place very well after change, but minet cant do as well as whimp did.Also he was the key for Titans in 2004 or 05?! When they had hpx they never won any tournament in 2007 only 2nd or 3rd place, after changing hpx, they won everything. ceh9 is one of the key players for NaVi, hes not a madfragger i know, but this is a team game and if you saw they matches u seen ceh9 helps for buliding tacs and give informations for his teamates, also he do a lot of damages. He do his job very well, thats why a change gonna be a bad idea. Sry for my english...I hope its understandable.

One thing that people never talk about is the fact that whichever team gets to choose side will have a huge advantage. In fact we seldom see a team that starts as ct on dust2, or t on train for example win that map nowadays if two equal teams face of. And to me the fact that fnatic won the game despite having lost all (!) knife rounds (and thus starting on the disadvantages side on every map) is really quite impressive I think. None the less, obviously it was as close a game as one can possibly have and it was really entertainging and I look forward to the next one. Well played Navi.
