Transfer Recap: July

Missed some of the many lineup changes last month? We bring you a recap of all the changes made in July.

On the 1st, Spanish legends x6tence announced changes once again. Borja "GuMmY" Gonzalez had been with the team since April 2009, but has now opted to become inactive, leaving the Spaniards with four active members. 5 days later the team suffered once again as Francisco "FamseK" Alarcon was removed from the team due to personal reasons. Later the same day, x6tence finally announced some positive news as David "theking" Rubio and Victor "xikii" García had joined up and made the team complete. An hour before midnight, the Norwegian squad Online-Kingdom announced disbandment.

On the 7th, Ukrainian team KerchNET brought in the former TMS players Vjаchеslаv "sozik" Sаzоnоv and Vlаdуslаv "bondik" Nеchуроrchuk to replace Stepan "cucumber" Pershko and Ruslan "Krutoi" Kolodinskyi who no longer were a part of the team. Meanwhile ESC Gaming from Germany announced that Wolfang "tankJr" Maurer had decided to leave the team due to his studies. This left Dominik "d0m AZ" Wrabetz in a rather unusual situation, being the only member left in the squad. Later the German team of mTw lost Maximilian "cruzN" Klasen and Christoph "divine" Mohr, leaving them with a four-man lineup.

GuMmY is no longer a part of x6tence.

On the 8th, Meet Your Makers decided to part company with their Swedish team, leaving strong players such as Marcus "Delpan" Larsson and Andreas "moddii" Fridh without a home. The following day, French team Mojawi Gaming announced their breakup. The team housed 3 of the former emuLate team which won WCG in 2007, Mathieu "R!Go-" Bridet, Mickael "mSx" Cassisi and Mathieu "MaT-" Leber. Meanwhile a Spanish team were once again in the spotlight as Nextlevel announced their return with players from their former lineups, Unibet and x6tence.

July 8-9th

On the 10th, the Finnish team Playzone lost three members as Otto "danzer" Dimitrow, Jirka "jiGetus" Ryhti and Miikka "dRiim" Toroi would go on to serve in the military, leaving Joni "Freon" Huumo and Kimmo "BASiC" Fagerholm as the only two members left in the team. The following day big news hit the scene as fnatic released their newest player Björn "threat" Pers due to disappointing results. On the 13th, another Norwegian team disbanded as Expert-Gaming announced a complete shutdown. Kristoffer "PAH" Røgeberg decided to quit playing, while Martin "OmeN" Moskvil and Øyvind "KF3" Magnestad will continue their gaming careers.

July 10-13th

On the 14th, fnatic officially announced the return of star player Rasmus "GuX" Stahl who decided to leave SK-Gaming when the offer of rejoining his old teammates arose. This move left fnatic with the exact same and very successful lineup they had in 2009. Meanwhile, syNergy from The Netherlands announced the departure of Decio "DeKMaTcHeR" Pinto, leaving the team with a four-man lineup. 3 days later, Danish p00nhandlers returned with Timm "ArcadioN" Henriksen and Finn "karrigan" Andersen from Cheap Times!, Michael "Friis" Jørgensen from Ravens plus the two free agents Jack "wazorN" Henriksen and Morten "suraNga" Jensen.

July 14-17th

On the 19th, former Fair Frag team housing players like Michael "HaRts" Zanatta and Jérémy "ioRek" Vuillermet from France found a new home at wCrea. The following day the Finnish team at Playzone announced the addition of Luukas "lukee" Paananen, Hannu "H^N" Pohjalainen, Lassi "MulleN" Nurmio, completing the lineup once again. Meanwhile French veteran Steeve "Ozstrik3r" Flavigni put together a new team composed of himself and former Millenium and D4 Gaming players. On the 21st, x6tence put and end to a couple of chaotic months, shutting down their Counter-Strike team.

On the 22nd, Polish team D-Link PGS announced the departure of their team and while the future for the lineup was unknown they had registered for the WCG qualifier as "OGIEŃ W OKOPIE". Meanwhile the Russian team USSR brought in Sergey "hally" Shawano as a replacement for Alexey "HONDROZ" Zubkov who had been shown the exit door. On the 23rd, n!faculty from Germany announced that Benjamin "paN" von Mulert would step down as a player to become inactive, leaving the team with only three members.

July 22nd-23rd

On the 27th, Belgian team Antwerp Aces added the former syNergy player Decio "DeKMaTcHeR" Pinto as a replacement for veteran Ivan "Apollo" Wuddhisukhum who had decided to become inactive. Meanwhile compLexity from USA brought back their former player Andrew "Irukandji" Timmerman as a replacement for Scott "evolution" Cavallero who had been relieved of his duties. Later, DarkPassage from Turkey announced the departure of Salih "marqnue" Onaran and Doğukan "prostar" Erelin leaving the team with only three players.

July 27th

 Irukandji returned to his former team compLexity.

On the 29th, Meet Your Makers announced their new team in the form of [u.s.b] from Russia. Dmitri "hooch" Bogdanov, Eduard "ed1k" Ivanov and Roman "ROMJkE" Makarov from former UNiTED had teamed up with Alexandr "xek" Zobkov and Andrey "XomA" Mironenko under the [u.s.b] tag for some time and had now found the organization they were looking for. Finally ESC Gaming from Germany revealed their new team, being the former Frankfurt 69ers lineup.
