Last WCG DK pre-qual announced

The last pre-qualifier for the Danish World Cyber Games qualifier will take place on Thursday, featuring eight teams playing a double-elimination bracket.

At first the last pre-qualifier was only going to find one last team for the Danish WCG qualifier, which will take place on Saturday, but the organizers have opted to change it to two teams, meaning four teams will compete for the one spot to WCG 2010.

In cooperation with the Danish community site XplayN.com, the last pre-qualifier for the Danish WCG qualifier will take place online on Thursday, featuring the following teams and matchups for the first round:

The pre-qualifier will be played in a best-of-one map double-elimination bracket, with the schedule breakdown as follows:

18:00 - 19:00CET - Upper-bracket quarter-finals
19:00 - 20:00CET - Upper-bracket semi-finals
19:00 - 20:00CET - Lower-bracket round 1
20:00 - 21:00CET - Upper-bracket final
20:00 - 21:00CET - Lower-bracket round 2
21:00 - 22:00CET - Lower-bracket final
22:00 - 23:00CET - Consolidation final
23:00 - 24:00CET - Overall final

The two teams to reach the final will make it to the Danish WCG qualifier (qualifier final will determine seeds), which will take place Saturday at Illum shopping mall in the heart of Copenhagen, where they will join mTw and Cheap Times!. There is a small update on the format for the qualifier, as there will no longer be a group-stage, but instead the four teams will play best-of-three maps in a single-elimination bracket.

The qualifier will kick off at 09:00CET and you can follow it all right here on HLTV.org, should the internet connection at the event allow us to broadcast the matches.
