WCG Pan-America group draw

The group draw for the WCG Pan America has been made, and the seven teams have learned who they will come up against.

The tournament, which will be held at the Eldorado shopping center in Sao Paulo, Brazil, will feature seven teams from across America, who will be fighting for the first prize of $2,500.

FireGamers, who got the first seed, have been handed a relatively easy task, as they will take on Canadian side Area 51 and TicoCamers of Costa Rica.

Evil Geniuses will be wishing for an in-form Travis "tuBBy" Bechtol, their stand-in for the event, as they will cross swords with Made in Brazil, Punto cL and Artyk.

all teams already have slot at Grand Finals? This is just for paying for travel and accomodation? if yes, I hope for FG to win it, EG as runners up, because EG can afford sending team and WCG is in LA, so no problem for them, FG would have trouble with that, GL

So what's the point of this tournament? I can't believe EG and 51 are gonna fly for such a small prize. $2500 doesn't even cover the expenses for just one player.

how much is a round trip ticket to Brazil including hotel and car?All the deals I found on expedia averaged around $2000, this doesn't include rental car and food either. So I guess it would be enough for one player but barely. My point is that the prize for first should've been $10-15k at the least. Especially since a big name like WCG is backing it.

I do also like FG, but both teams are on same level, but EG is more experienced team with more titles, for sure final with both teams will be great match but your comment is just so laaaame

no. That was my opinion, and just because my opinion is disliking another team's playstyle you think it's lame. Ofcourse EG has more titles than FG, FG isn't able to participate on 10% of the tournaments EG is on. Also, when FG was MIBR, they were already a lot better than EG. So, I don't think my opinion is lame, sorry...

Seems they're not. But, anyway, why should they not support wildi?? I mean, why wouldn't they support the best Argentinian team IF they want to be the most respected organization in the country? I would, even more when it's certified that they can do a lot of damage out there, in the international scene, fact that neither TRS nor any other squad can do IMHO.

Well, if they wanna grow up, they need to go "out"...how do you expect to "grow up" if you don't face top teams? even while they win all the way 16-0 to TRS in every single final match during 100 years, they won't grow as much as they would if they lose 16-0 to fnatic at least once, right?
