Lions to attend WCG 2010
HLTV.org has learned that Lions' Counter-Strike team will be present at the World Cyber Games 2010 Grand Finals.
It has merely been eight days since the Norwegian organization acquired the former H2k Gaming squad. Their newest acquisition had a great start just six days later, when the team managed to win ASUS Summer 2010.
When the team donned the colors of H2k, they also attended the WCG Nordic qualifier in Helsinki. Although falling out after a loss to SK in the semifinal, the team were still qualified to the Grand Finals later this year.
Adding to the fact that WCG regulations say that the qualified slot rightfully belongs to the players, and not organizations, Lions have now chosen to travel to Los Angeles to attend the grand event.
Lions will present the following team at WCG 2010:
Richard "Xizt" Landström
Niklas "niko" Johansson
Frej "kHRYSTAL" Sjöström
Emil "FYRR73" Karlsson
Björn "threat" Pers
The 2010 edition of the World Cyber Games will take place from September 30 through to October 3 at Los Angeles' Convention Center. In addition, Lions will also attend the MSI BEAT IT finals in Beijing, running from September 4-6.
