aZn in for compLexity at MSI BEAT IT

compLexity have announced that Kevin "aZn" Wang will be their fifth player at the forthcoming MSI BEAT IT event in China.

The former zEx star had already been announced as a stand-in for compLexity at the WCG qualifiers, stepping into the shoes of David "Xp3" Garrido, who is is ineligible to play due to the tournament's nationality restrictions.

Wang, who played for iDemise at Arbalet Cup Dallas, will be replacing a different player in Beijing, though, as Jeff "hero" Mettetal is unable to join up with the rest of the squad due to work obligations.

The MSI BEAT IT tournament will run from September 7-8, with $25,000 to be handed out in the Counter-Strike competition.

compLexity will attend the event with:

France David "Xp3" Garrido
United States Thomas "thoMz" Garcia
United States Derek "dboorN" Boorn
United States Andrew "Irukandji" Timmerman
United States Kevin "aZn" Wang

aZn will be subbing at both events. lots of ppl want to see aZn replace xp3 for the simple purpose of having an all-american lineup all year round. now i have nothing but good things to say about him any day, but imo ppl shouldn't want him in the lineup until he proves himself at an event. the only issue coL will have with xp3 is one event out of the entire year, WCG. if you look past that event, xp3 is an incredible player. his awp, rifle, and intelligence is among the best in the country, especially at LAN. he's capable of clutching any situation and outfragging any team. he's inconsistent online, but everyone knows he's like f0rest when he's on fire. if anything the MSI Beat-It event and WCG will be the perfect opportunity to see how the team meshes with the changing lineups.

aZn > hero aZn, individually, is probably one of the most skilled players in the US. He is up there with n0thing and dboorn.

CS isn't only about individual skills , this is why aZn isn't in a stable team. EG for example , the best team in the US , I can honestly tell that from my point of view they have only 2 great players with individual skills (fRoD n0thing) , one good player (Storm) , and two team players which aren't the BEST individual players in the market (gfn lurppis) - but the fact that everyone is giving his share in the team and doing what he knows best , that's what makes them such a good team. In compLexity , adding a mad fragger who cares only about his TAB score won't make them better .. trust me.

correct. and that's why fnatic is the best team out there - because they've got a team with 3 madfraggers who actually can cooperate well with the rest of the team

hero should definitely always be at events with coL, no doubt. I think having xp3 going will make up for that in a lot of ways where it used to hurt them in the past though. coL used to have a really passive LAN presence. they would always play really calm, and that keeps you focused on a certain level I guess, but I think xp3 really helped them become energetic and aggressive at LAN's since he's been on the team, which imo is the best improvement the team could have made. The only thing I will say about having drew(Irukandji) back is that I think it was the perfect move for the team. I haven't seen them play yet, so thats only an assumption at this point, but they really need to blend the intelligent and organized cs that drew brought to the team with the aggression and utilization of the aim and overall skill that coL developed with xp3 on the team. i think thats always been the missing link in compLexity. they just need to practice together a lot now and get their mojo flowin~

just depends how you rate a players value on a team. dboorN is the "starix" of coL so to speak, except he never awps. he's just a pure fragger, he's extremely versatile, and can handle almost any situation intelligently. he's not responsible for making team decisions, its mostly Irukandji and hero that are figuring things out, while dboorN has a job to do and gets it done. thoMz is also a bit of a reactive player, keeping the team organized like hero does. dboorN's statistically the best fragger on the team, because his role really only involves aggression and fragging. he'a a great communicator too, from what i've seen.

I happen to love both teams, but EG has proven to consistently be the better USA team. however, coL is definitely capable of beating EG, but coL has to be on their perfect "A" game. EG won't have lurppis for WCG, and he's their full time IGL. coL won't have xp3, but i think the loss of lurppis will hurt EG more than the loss of xp3 for coL. for what its worth, both players will be at the events, supporting their team from behind. lurppis will still be able to coach them, and xp3 also has a great LAN presence and experience to assist coL however he can. this USA WCG qualifier will be extremely interesting, because you also have team Loaded, who have been a sleeper team for the past 2 seasons, placing high at a few USA LANs. they have just made a few roster changes in the past few weeks, based on players that have shined at big events and players that have recently become free agents. they have picked up pauLy and sgares, who have been highlight players for the past year on different teams, as well as evolution, who was recently let go from coL. they have hostile and steno, their IGL, who both come from the former Evil Geniuses team that have plenty of international experience. do not count these guys out. i recommend HLTV.org fully cover the USA WCG Qualifiers, because it will be an extremely competitive and exciting event. quite possibly the best All-American event of the year.
