CNB out of Acervus after FG loss
CNB-Gaming have been sent packing at the Mega GH Acervus Cup after a 16-12 defeat to FireGamers.
The two teams knew that only a victory would keep them alive in the tournament after they had been surprised in the Upper Bracket earlier on.
It was CNB who started off the brighter, winning the opening three rounds, before FG finally got into the game and engaged on a five-round streak. CNB then responded, levelling the match on five rounds, and the rest of the first half went both ways as FG were up 8-7.
In the second half, CNB once again got the first three rounds, and now found themselves leading 10-8. However, FG took matters into their own hands, and a good performance from Lincoln "fnx" Lau powered his team to beat CNB 16-12 to remain in the tournament.
FireGamers will now take on their organisation's secondary squad, FG.Bullguard, for a place in the Consolation Final, where Made in Brazil are lying in wait.
