Fx, Lions, MYM to DSRack LAN #3

HLTV.org has received information that Frag eXecutors, Lions, Meet Your Makers and several other hot names have been confirmed for DSRack LAN #3.

Following up our report on Friday which read that the third edition of the DSRack LAN had been announced with a whopping prize purse of €76,200. The organizers also announced a 64-teams invite tournament, as well as a 32-teams BYOC tournament.

The prize purses are however relying on that the different tournaments see enough participants. If this strike s reality, a staggering prize pool of €25,000 will be set aside for Counter-Strike 1.6 alone.

It was also said that teams such as Power Gaming, Meet Your Makers and PlayZone.fi had been asked over for the invite tournament. We have now received a more detailed list of confirmed participants:

As for you who possess a keen pair of eyes, you have probably noticed that PlayZone are listed with two teams. News broke on Friday as we reported that PlayZone are in the process of unveiling a new Swedish team, containing players such as André "BARBARR" Möller and Jon "hyvlarn" Edelsvärd.

This report has now been strenghtened with the added Swedish team, and that several of the said players have been noticed on QuakeNet with the organization's tag.

On the list we also find Lions, who today sealed a third-place finish at the Beijing event MSI BEAT IT, along with e-Stars Seoul winners Frag eXecutors. They are followed by the Russian team of MYM who have failed to make a notable appearance ever since joining their new home.

Furthermore, teams that wish to receive invites to the grand tournament should join the IRC channel #DSRack.LAN on QuakeNet and contact an operator.

And why is that? €25,000 is pretty fcking much alone for CS 1.6. Denmark is pretty close to central Europe. It couldn't get any better except for the teams coming from Asia, North- and South America. But those teams always have to travel far for the better LANs like Dreamhack and Arbalet etc. It's pretty random where Arbalet hosts LAN's though, but you get the idea.
