wCrea dump Danish team
It is now official that the French organization wCrea decided to drop its recently acquired Danish Counter-Strike division.
On Wednesday, the 4th of August, the French-based organization made the headlines with an unexpected acquisition of the Danish team p00nhandlers. The move came right after wCrea's former French line-up broke up.
The newly acquired division then attracted the spotlight, when they managed to shock mTw in the final of the Danish WCG qualifier, booking themselves the number one spot as national representatives for the Grand Final, in Los Angeles. Everything seemed to progress in the right direction.
Unfortunately for both sides, the collaboration lasted little over a month, as today the French organization announced that they have ended their links with the Danes. wCrea states that the reason for the breakup is based on the fact that the team would not be representing the organisation at the WCG 2010, but instead Team Denmark.
The French sought to negotiate with the Danish WCG organizer in order to allow the team's attendance as wCrea, but all was declined. The squad had additionally applied for travel to be paid for their coach, which was also declined by the Danish WCG organizer. This made the players turn to wCrea, where no support was to be found either, which supposedly led to a heavy discussion between the two sides.

The Danes now looking for a new home.
"Today we have parted ways with the wCrea organisation. The decision was pretty easy for us. We have had a lot of discussions and arguments with Julien "Wats" Duarte in the last couple of days.
We will not comment on specific situations, but let’s just say, that we were very unhappy about the commitment and willingness to help the team as much as possible.
Even though our main focus at the moment is our participation in World Cyber Games, we are looking forward to finding a good and healthy organisation that will support us in any way possible." – Team coach Marc "MarcK" Kjærgaard told HLTV.org.
As mentioned in the statement, the following players are now looking for a new home:
Jack "wazorN" Henriksen
Timm "ArcadioN" Henriksen
Finn "karrigan" Andersen
Michael "Friis" Jørgensen
Morten "suraNga" Jensen
The line-up is currently participating in the Nordic ESL EAS, as well as preparing for the upcoming World Cyber Games 2010.
