coL to rent house for new CS team

compLexity Gaming owner Jason "1" Lake has told HLTV.org that plans for a new 'coL house' are currently in the making.

The American giants announced last night the acquisition of the FireGamers team after being without a Counter-Strike division for little less than two weeks.

HLTV.org knows that the ex-FG squad is now in charge of finding a suitable place to live and practice in, most likely in the region of São Paulo, where the players hail from.

The move is not new for compLexity, who in 2007 rented a five-bedroom house in Dallas for their then Counter-Strike: Source team, who competed at CGS.

The real benefits of this move are questionable, though, as Brazilian teams are known to have a hard time finding suitable online opponents.

Quizzed on whether compLexity are weighing up bringing the team to the United States to find better opposition, Lake did not rule out such scenario.

"It's not in the immediate future, but the possibility is always there," he told HLTV.org.

moveing they to usa would increase even more they're teamplay and tatics. on brasil internet conection's sux a lot and not enought good teans that they pratice on daily basis bcs all teans on brasil are not professional, so every1 need to study/work, and that make's even harder to find a good opponet on a good time of the day .

The only hope for the US Scene is not finding 1 Team but gathering the best from the US. Unfortunately this will destroy some teams but it will be the foundation for a better one...Imo +Zid (The only good old school awper besides fRoD that can make his shots and still shines) +Hostile (Face it, even though he's probably NA's biggest Trash Talker and most hated, He gets the frags and carries his teams) +nAz OR Rambo (coL needs an amazing IGL and both of them are rly good. Rambo is a legend however he might be way too old to compete with top Euro Teams where Euro Teams tend to outaim the competition...or hell they could even get both) The Rest: Either Org & sonny of Winout Evolution as a rifler or 2 Euros.

Irukandji is better than naZ and Rambo, and he's acheived more in the past 2-3 years than theyve been able to. I knew Rambo had his 3D successes, but at the very least he's still very rusty. And for every other player you listed (besides zid)...there was a better player on POV. none of them are better than anyone off of the previous coL lineup can you really compare these lineups? - steno - hostile - evo - soNNy - org - Irukandji - hero - thoMz - dboorN - xp3 excluding the fact that the former squad had over 2 years of experience playing with eachother nonstop, international bootcamps, placed top 4 in a few international tournaments...and the fact that they were able to "pug" WCG USA and placed above every player/team you listed, they are just way better players overall. youre living in a dream world if you think the players you listed could do anything to EG or POV.

Willing to insult Jax and tell him that they will quit if they don't change the roster to make room for a friend over a better player. Winout was a pug as well...THey were beating POV till POV decided to QQ and tell the admins Rambo defused through a box...Hostile's team was a pug as well..He carried that team and ripped POV by himself. and Zid was taking a shit on POV with his awp. POV is gonna be destroyed by FG, was destroyed by EG, and the Euros alrdy took a shit on POV They need new blood and old blood. The Fnatic Combo..the SK Combo...the FG Combo.. Keep the core of old guy but bring in new blood is what makes a good lineup.... what did they try? the new lineup with drew never got to attend an event before getting cut. the organization forced them to play without drew and ninespot. the team had a handful of 1st/2nd/3rd/and 4th placings at home events and international events. No other team in the past 2-3 years besides EG has anything close to that. wake up and stop imagining up dream lineups when their not even better than the lineups that actually exist in this country. have you read any of the many blogs by dboorN? he's one of the nicest people in American counter strike. it doesn't matter if youre a 12 year old minority sweat shop child that knows 2 words of the english language...if you message dboorN, he always responds to you. he has no ego whatsoever, youre just buying in to evolutions raging little fits without hearing their side of the story. perhaps you should read this thread: esportsea.com/index.php?s=forums&d=topic.. hostile is a good LAN player, but remember he got cut from Gravitas as time went on because he couldn't perform. i agreed with you that zid is good, but you can't field 4 players to go with zid that are better players than POV.

You can ask Jax when Dboorn and Hero both told him if they didn't cut Evolution (who was doing well) that they would quit so their friend could join the coL lineup... Irukandji - hero - ninespot - dboorN - savior/evolution was a decent lineup....It was a little worse then EG but always got wrecked by Euro Teams...Yeah...winning Home events against CEVO-M bads and against EG...the only decent american team...Even with the constant bootcamp in Sweden it was a lineup that wasn't as dedicated and consistent. Hostile didn't get cut cause he was doing bad..He was the best player on their team for GG...He left for School and later on was disciplined because of his constant taunting of the other teams lol. I've seen Dboorn's forum posts...Anyone can act innocent after you've threatened your manager with leaving and then decided going to a tournament wasn't worth it and told the rest of the team not to go. Zid is still a good player. There's no other good IGL besides Naz or Rambo (Even though he's old he was still getting mad frags and clutches against POV) Hostile is still a very good player. +2 Other members and coL would have a good USA Lineup...There's not many players to choose from... Hell even Org and Sonny would be decent players to pick up. And How is that a Dream Lineup? Zid, Rambo, Inertia (bad), Org, Sonny = Winout...They could pick them up and replace Inertia with Hostile...and then a few roster changes down the road when other players become free or even pick up Euro Talent. If you don't remember...Winout (A PUG!!!) was beating POV (played together 4ever)...till POV decided to call cheats and told the admins that Rambo defused through the box.

Zid ripped POV b4 POV cried to the Admins for Rambo defusing through the Box... Remember his CPL and accomplishments with JMC? Beating NiP, coL, g3x, etc. He would of joined 3D if it wasn't for CGS. He's still young and one of the few old school players that isn't washed up. Watch his mad frags against POV and the other teams at WCG. Hostile WAS Team GG. He carried his Pug as well and got multiple nice frags on POV. He's still a good player. He destroyed EG if you don't remember back when he led GG with his awp.

dude every team there was a PUG except EG and Loaded. PoV by no means had their better players Xp3 thomz and evolution playing for them. PoV looked weak and pretty bad so i don't give him any credit..... hostile was cut from GG not for school, pretty sure impulsive,beN and gfn were over it when he threw a HUGE FIT at ESL world finals in Germany after a half vs MYM in front of everyone including his team and sponsor GG. the same event he got jumped. please sit DOWN. you think anyone wants to play with someone who acts like a 11 year old kid during a MATCH vs a top team in the world? I don't consider POV a top team..You guys were saying POV was the 2nd best team right before EG...Can you name a roster capable of taking down EG and has proven themselves in the past before besides that players I just listed? Didn't think so... Zid is still good..you can't deny that..When was he "wrecked" by randoms when he wasn't playing for an official team? no offense, but thats one of the most retarded statements ive heard about North American cs. do you realize that 9 out of every 10 players in ESEA Invite did not compete internationally pre CGS? most of the current invite teams consist of players who accomplished nothing more than good CEVO-Main/mediocre CAL Invite records (while CAL-i was actually competitive) and winning a few local LANs. Since you brought up pre-CGS talent...fRoD, Storm, and Warden were all playing like shit when they came back to 1.6, and the only reason they are where they are today is because of lurppis and their crazy practice regiment. am i saying that if lurppis were to leave the team, they would fall apart? No. they wouldn't flow as naturally as they do with him in charge, but theyve reached the point where theyre in charge of their matches, and they have goodfornothing if they really need him. theres physically no worthy pre-CGS talent left in the US to put a lineup together with. aside from maybe one or two players, all of the real talent left in the country would be "new" according to your logic.

sorry aimes but your org isn't anything special anymore. i mean great job picking up FG.. that placed the same as ex-coL at ESWC Grand Finals, you guys have some serious work to do on top of losing plenty of American fans. Paying "chump change" for CS players compared to 1 EG player making what all 5 coL members make in a month isn't something to be proud of. it's not very good to keep dedicated professional gamers at all either. Also what were you thinking even allowing that to happen? irukandji thomz dboorn all went to school full time and i believe hero had a job that payed him over triple what coL was paying him. I would've waved the white flag toward EG as well picking up FG and basically saying you guys win we don't have a chance to compete with you in American so we'll go international. Moving FG to the states and having them play lower tier teams would only hurt them (the way EG was a few months back). FG is a competitive international team. What they need are boot camps in Europe and to attend international tournaments.

Actually the old coL team did live together last summer and they were easily considered the best US team at the time.

How many good practices do you think Tyloo or We Made Fox gets in online? being in a house together (even if you aren't playing the best competition.. or even none at all) will always help a team grow together enough to always be ready for a match to be played. (as long as they are active in the lanning scene with their new found money)

Its really a god decision, those guys proved they are good already conquering ESWC in 2006, few changes in the line but still a good team, with the suport col will give to em, im sure they'll be atleast at top 5 in WCG.
