EPS Nordic II final continues Tuesday

ESL Pro Series Nordic season two final between fnatic and mTw will resume Tuesday, after the match got postponed due to DDoS attacks more than a month ago.

The third season of ESL Pro Series Nordic is live already, but we still don’t know who will be the champions of the second season. On August 9, the season two final between fnatic and mTw was scheduled to take place. The match was started, but was later postponed after mTw had won first map de_nuke 16-13, as fnatic members kept getting DDoS attacked.

On top of a busy summer schedule and the third season start, the two teams have now found a date to play the remains of the match. The match will continue at 20:00CET with second map de_dust2, where mTw originally had a 6-1 lead. Due to the the DDoS attacks on fnatic members, the second map will be restarted. Should a third map be needed, then the two teams will play de_train.

The match was originally shown on ESL TV, but does not look like it will be tomorrow. This does not mean that you can watch it on HLTV.org, as we no longer allowed to show the matches from ESL Pro Series Nordic.

finally hey hey but I have a question. Will fnatic play against Cheap Times! tomorrow? Or it has been postponed to a later date?

It's a virtual attack using a program called DDoS that overflows your internet and it lags like hell. Basically, unplayable :) CL_FLUSHENTITYPACKET FTW

lol, it's not a program called DDoS. The type of attack is called DDoS. The result of which is what you mentioned above.

DDoS often comes from a fairly large botnet. The 'hacker' often got his own IRC server where the bots join his channel, from there he can send "DoS" command to all of the bots(zombies) in result you get "DDoS". The botnet also got a panic button, which can be used if the hacker gets busted w/e. This panic command will delete the so called 'trojan' that makes your computer into a zombie pc. I've seen cases where they use Twitter,Facebook,MSN,AIM,Paltalk to control the bots. But often it is on a IRC server How do they login? Well often they got a 'admin' password, this admin password is often bind by hostname on the IRC server. Or the user have to be an ircop / server admin on the IRC server, to be able to login and control the bots. Why do they do it? Often they got a personal grudge against the person, or they just do it for fun. Sometimes they even get paid for DDoS'ing sites,persons,servers. This will be a problem for future cs matches, and I feel sorry for the person who did this attack. You got serious problems I hope you learned something :)

yeah. if this final had been played that day, mTw would win. But no, now I believe fnatic has better chances to win. mTw has been sucking lately
