CPL and NewWorld to collaborate

Closely following the footsteps of the reborn CPL and CAL brands, it has now become official that the former owner of both leagues, NewWorld, signed a content providing agrement with WoLong Ventures.

The CPL saga continues today, as its new parent company, Singapore based WoLong Ventures, entered into a partnership with NewWorld, the former administrator of both brands managed by the E-sports figure Angel Munoz.

As we reported several weeks ago, an ownership exchange was completed between the two sides, seeing Angel Munoz and his company passing on full ownership and retaining no interest in either CPL or CAL. Shortly after that, they're now back in the picture, this time around under a totally different form.

Detailing on the agreement, NewWorld's online video gaming publication, Adrenaline Vault will from now on be providing content to all of the gaming properties and corporate partners of WoLong Ventures.

The official statement from WoLong Ventures reads as follows:

"We are excited to be able to offer the Adrenaline Vaultʼs content throughout our growing network of video game websites," said WoLong Ventures' Chairman of the Board, Frank Yong. "Furthermore, we will be sharing the content with several corporate partners, like StarHub Ltd. and Sgamer Technology Co. Ltd."

The CPL opened its new website a couple of weeks ago, being criticized by the community for its low quality online presence. Stay tuned with us for any updates on the reborn CPL's evolution, as right after the upcoming we'll finally bring you an exclusive interview with Angel Munoz.

patience is key to success :P They can't just rush it, it might come back to bite them in the *bleep* (lol). I rather they take it slow and succeed rather than rush it and fail.

it looks like they are more focused on other games, if they do have a counter-strike tourney it probably wont be for much money

What a start for the new CPL. Collaborating with Angel Munoz, the very person that brought it to the ground. This doesn't surprise me a bit. Regardless of who's in charge, they've always had a long history of retarded decisions.

He only brought down his own organization, yet, he planted the seeds for everyone else to follow. Despite his mistakes, CS wouldn't be what it is if it wasn't for him.

And by him you mean Frank Nuccio, the person who actually did something at the CPL events. Amazing how people give credit where it's not due.
