Loaded's CS team without a home

Evil Geniuses have purchased Loaded, leaving the latter's Counter-Strike team without an organization to house them.

Shake up in the United States today as Evil Geniuses today announced the acquisition of the Loaded organization. Unfortunately for Loaded's Counter-Strike division, they were not included in the transition.

"EG has been at the forefront of gaming for over a decade and are considered the elite of pro gaming. Along with our HoN team and staff, we are excited to be a part of such a proven gaming organization as EG. Joining up with them will only serve to create an even bigger and more exciting brand", former CEO of Loaded Brandon Freytag said.

Loaded had last month brought in Scott "evolution" Cavallero and Sean "sgares" Gares to replace Paul "Adrenaline" Baker and Anthony "djibouti" Manosca following their second-place finish at the Evil Geniuses Master's Cup.

The team also made an appearance at WCG USA earlier this month, where they failed to cause a notable upset, losing to both Evil Geniuses and Backfire, and thus not making it to the playoffs.

For what IEM5 America goes, the team has been grouped with Evil Geniuses, Backfire and Punto.cl. Regardless of being without an organization, they are practicing each day, Paul "pauLy" Guerboyan stated:

"Just because our financial support died doesn't mean we'll stop being a team. The organization didn't keep us together; it’s the five guys coming on everyday playing CS that makes this a team. We still have our goal in mind to be the best team in the world and we will keep pushing forward step by step to achieve that goal", Paul "pauLy" Guerboyan told HLTV.org.

"At the moment, we are practicing daily for IEM and hopefully we'll be participating in the ESEA LAN Final"

Questions are now being directed towards compLexity, as Jason "1" Lake stated upon signing FireGamers that they were still interested in housing a North American squad in the future.

read this last night on loaded's website when it was posted at 2AM EST. pretty sad but freytag is out to pad his pockets and he made one of the smartest decisions he could of made with that goal in mind here. GL to EG's new management addition and loaded's ex-cs team in finding a new org.

Hope everyone understands it's not just the Counter-Strike 1.6 team. The World of Warcraft team from Korea, Quake Live team, Call of Duty 4 and countless staff are now all fucked. He sold himself and all of his assets to EG. They then picked the best from the division litter of their choosing - that's secondary. Lastly, and most importantly, he sold everyone else out. Just business, nothing personal I guess. From what I hear the CS 1.6 team will be in attendance at IEM NYC.

Only Heroes of Newerth, Counter-Strike, World of Warcraft, Quakelive, Call of Duty were all cut. Only one staff member who was described as "terrible at writing" by Freytag himself moved over. He is just going to be doing b*tch word for EG.

certainly seems that way, really sad. with it they also gave the thin north american cs-scene another hit in the head. not just because these guys now are without an organisation but also because new upcoming talent now got one less organisation to get support from.

If EG wanted Loaded's HoN team then they could have at any time they wanted. He sold himself and all the sponsors to EG. Everything else was secondary and expendable besides HoN. Just business.

it has been like a dream come true with coL(American) and now Loaded slowly dying off and EG is rising up. i mean there is no CS team or and other game that can compete with EG right now salary wise and competitive wise. there is no way coL will fund another American team while they have Brazil which is their top priority. i wouldn't even wanna be apart of coL.us if that day happens because you'll pretty much be second in line and be attending most likely one or two American events every year and not able to fully compete internationally. which to some is good but i would think if you wanna play cs seriously and actually compete you would wanna travel.

Latest I heard was the Loaded.HoN is no longer under contract with EG anyway, being released? Therefore Freytag, Drew and the sponsors are the only thing acquired now?
