Kapio hints at retirement

mousesports star Navid "Kapio" Javadi has revealed he is considering putting an end to his career in the near future.

The announcement was made on the German streaming channel GameSports, which is providing coverage of the 2010 WCG Finals.

"The next months will probably be the last of my Counter-Strike career," Javadi said.

The future of the mousesports' Counter-Strike team has been up in the air since they were struck by the tragic death of Antonio "cyx" Daniloski in a car accident in July.

Backup player Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel stepped up and became the team's fifth member, but it looks unlikely he will continue beyond this season.

Kapio set to hang up mouse?

mousesports have not yet confirmed any plans regarding future LAN events, but their involvement in the IEM European Championship should not be in jeopardy.

Reports in Germany suggest that both Manuel "Tixo" Makohl and Fatih "gob b" Dayik are also considering calling time on their careers, which would leave Roman "roman" Ausserdorfer as the only player with the drive to continue playing.

Nothing's been the same since the accident with cyx. Their game has been different, their attitudes have been different... It must really have got to them - understandably... Maybe they need some people to support them, and let them know that if there was ever a time to prove they're one of the best teams, it's now. For cyx!

Obviously they formed a bond as a team, and I guess when something so sudden like that happens it can take a toll on your attitude etc.

i cant imagine totally how the loss of a friend like cyx affected them psychologically,but i can try to : / its must really be painful to play this game,and play in a team that cyx helped to raise them to the top having no longer the name mousesports | cyx,all those times together,at events,practicing ,partying,and doing other stuff must really come to their thoughts when they are playing some game :/

Think the death of cyx made a huge impact on his decision, I think I'd quit if one of the players I've played with for years (especially on this level) dies in a accident. Just sad. :(

German CS is buried by a car accident ,no more cyx ,no more mousesports ,I mean ,if cyx goes to other team or quits CS ,only if he's alive ,mousesports won't fall . BUT fate has took his young lovely life ,I can't imagine how do his teammates feel when they play this game after the tragedy ,this game is bringing them memories and sadness and endless pain . IF kapio quit ,mousesports will fall ,then German CS will fall .we'll no longer see mousesports style .

german cs is dying anyway. teams are not improving, the players don't care. they are just playing to earn a little money beside their normal job or school/study. that's all.

that's right ,there's no strong team except mousesports and ex-attax in GERMANY.Anyway ,I believe there are a lot of poeple love mousesports style ,including some pro players from famous teams ,they play really beautiful counter-strike ,but we'll never see that anymore ,so sad ...
