SLAP LIVE #21 exclude DSRack

The SLAP LIVE organizers have decided to exclude DSRack from their tournament and the Komplett Gamer Challenge #2.

The Danish organizers claim that their sponsors have uttered against seeing the company name DSRack participating in their tournament, as promoting another brand is seemingly out of the question.

Another reason to the organizers' decision is that they claim to have been approached with threats from the DSRack team, which supposedly said what would happen if they were to be excluded from the event.

The team is however still able to participate, but only if they choose to go by another name or boast the colors of another organization, a statement reads.

SLAP LIVE #21 had earlier announced the merging with Komplett Gamer Challenge #2, and that the prize purse had been increased to €27,000 as a result, creating one big tournament.

The Komplett Gamer Challenge, which will take place from October 22-24 at the SLAP LIVE event, will gather an unspecified number of teams from Denmark and Sweden, with four of them, two per country, being invited by the organization.

The Danish representatives for KGC #2 have already been found, being the likes of mTw, Neuro and both Full-Gaming teams. Swedish side fnatic have received an invite, while another team will receive its respective invite later.

Have they specified what kind of threats there were? Was it like a "we'll boycott your LAN" kind of thing?

No idea, but I doubt a "boycott threat" would leave the organizers excluding them.

It is simply because the organiser of SLAP Sui and the organiser of DSrackLAN QDK have an argument, DSrackLAN have destroyed the CS:Source tournament at SLAP, because both tournaments are played one the same dates, and the majority have chosen DSrackLAN the problem is that the Team-DSRACK signed up early for a prequal for KGC but was not chosen, because of their name. They later changed name and got chosen for the qual and will participate at the lan with their old name PUTA. What ive heard about the threats is that the team said they would write some blogs about this incident, so the community would know what Sui was doing. The threat is not something like "IM GONNA KILL YOU MOFO". And it is not the server host for SLAP who demands DSrack not participating, Sui doesnt not want to say which sponsors demands this, but its not Speed-Gaming, they have stated that in some comments on xplayn.com Personally i think its something Sui just came up with, so he doesnt look like a man with personal issues towards DSrackLAN.

Thanks, and lol... I wouldn't think anyone would be dumb enough for death threats XD So basically a lot of conflict and bad mouthing, I don't see how unwise marketing (considering the split of an audience community) can lead to such deception though.

Ive reeditet, i could se it wasnt all good :D Well i think it have nothing with threats to do, its the problem between the organisers which creates this conflict. The players simply got caught in the cross-fire.

cause we were @ bootcamp and had nothing else to do - we got a text @ 10 AM saying we should play (we just went to bed at 6 after the news dropped on xplayn.com around 4:30). So we played it wasted and pretty mad on SLAP that we had to tag PUTA . Played like beef but thats how it is :)

They removed dsrack from the tournament because a LAN tourny is being held under the name of dsrack at the same date as slap and they've been fighting over prize money etc. So slap lost the fight and all the good source teams are going to Dsrack and that's their way of seeking revenge.

Team Dsrack is lucky they have a manager who allows them to play under another name. Team Dsrack played the kgc qual under the name puta. Btw it is four teams from sweden and denmark, not only two. 2 get invite and 2 are going through the qualifier. The danish four teams are found. Also people have opportunity to get into the kgc finals through the normal lan tournement at slap live.

It was zecer, tuna, soga, moxxi and aneee in the final. In some matches fistabob played and in the game against xaya it was zecer, woodi, noas, anee and moxxi who played.
