alex to step down after WEM - Report

HLTV.org has received info that TyLoo captain Zhengwei "alex" Bian will retire from gaming after WEM Invitational.

The Chinese veteran has been linked with the decision for quite some time now, but it was expected that he would hang up his mouse before WEM.

However, according to information HLTV.org has gathered, Bian plans on making his last appearance for TyLoo at the tournament in Hangzhou.

The names of the participants have not yet been released by the tournament organisation, but a list leaked by Tatazu.com suggests TyLoo will be in attendance.

Bian has been an ever-present figure in international competitions for the past years, with his breakthrough coming in 2006, when his then team, wNv Gaming, came out on top of WEG Masters.

Chinese Counter-Strike legend, I hope that he stays with the team even if he doesn't play. He has played a big part in Tyloo as well as the former wNv team. It would be nice to see someone like Savage or bigun in his place.

Well , it was expected. We just didn't know after which tournament he would retire. And the question now is , who will replace him? A lot people say it will be Savage , but who will be the in game leader? Well , Rita could be , but if Savage won't join tyloo , I think tyloo will not progress as a team , cuz alex > Rita in strat calling , also he has so much experience. They could add savage and Rita and remove kArl , alex , but the team wouldn't be the same. So I'm really curious , what changes they will decide. Anyway alex is a legend. Goodluck alex :P One of the best IGL in the world for sure.

Well everyone is important. If alex decides to retire , they need a replacement. And the best choice would be Savage , but he isn't a IGL , so they could add Rita and Savage. It's pretty complicated. Like I said , I'm curious how this will work out :P

i think savage was ingame leader for some time, however dunno if its smart to put him as igl cuz hes amazing when hes in form so he needs to focus on form. tb, xf & goodrifle are also amazing, karl is a little too random (although xf is also random). dunno, best china team would probably be: savage, goodrifle, tb, virgo, xf if someone could call strats (or maybe theyre so skilled that they wouldnt need strats :D)

Come on.. We don't know anything how they are praccticing + Well okey , they have strats now etc. But eventually , you will have to change them. And we don't know , how good is he to boost the teams morale and all the other stuff. There are alot of little things , that you have to do as a IGL. Alex was a in-game leader for a long time. Karl wasn't. It's not the easiest job in the world to be a IGL and if you have like no experience and you are starting from nothing , don't think that it could turn out alright :P

i dont buy it.. why would they drop out one of the best awpers in the world? only possibility is that gr is going inactive or sth , otherwise im like 99 % sure thats false info. and if theres someone who could be replaceable at tyloo , that would be xf.. dropping gr for virgo would be like replacing markeloff with penguin at NaVi lol

go ahead ask everyone....I will again say that savage awp is as good as gr if not better and rifles are way better than gr. I would take savage in any squad just on his rifle skills alone but I guess you haven't seen much of him if you think he doesn't compare well to gr. And no one including me is even asking for cutting gr from the squad, just placing savage in place of alex and you are calling me clueless? get a clue.

ok mr.knowledge , ive been in the scene long enough so i think i know what im talking.. secondly , wtf are you brambling? first you said that getting savage and virgo for karl and gr would be great , then you you claim you were only talking about getting savage in for gr.. you are very clueless if you think that savage has better awp than gr , and that virgo is better than karl.. so my point is , gr > savage with awp and savage > gr with guns , i never said they shouldnt take savage in for alex.

go read in other comments on this same thread..I wrote savage in for alex..since a guy with chinese flag wrote about virgo and savage, I took it as a possibility and which imo is not very bad (as many make it out to be). Btw you say gr > savage awp so it becomes a universal truth?...remember what you said is just your opinion..dont try to force it like its the ultimate truth! At least I don't agree with it and I am not alone in believing so. and.....there is no word like "brambling"....mr knowledge.

Imo the best allround strat caller from China ever, was K1ngZ. He can awp, rifle, and lead teams. Plus he has good international exp. K1ngZ GoodRifle xf tb karl would be insane.

Actually i can't imagine how tyloo perform without alex, his solid tactics strengthen his team. His place is almost irreplaceable just like we can't imagine if cArn quit fnatic. However, it's no doubt that alex's aiming is not that good(apparently reflexed on dreamteam stats), if tyloo bring in a player with good aim and good tactics, i would like to see how he improve his team. :) Currently i hope tyloo can create a team like ideal team Na' Vi, 5 crazy aimers and also best tactic.

i think goodrifle is overrated. his reaction is insane, but he seems to miss easy shots way too much- and theyre usually shots that decide the outcome of the round too. if alex wasnt leaving they shoulda replaced goodrifle with savage cuz hes crazy with rifle and awp

if Alex is a wisdom igl, that Rita is brave. when Rita got nice frag, Raw will be win. But Alex use his wisdom control all of the team, nothing can easily beat it. Raw has the best rifle players in China, even VS fnatic, their kills always be more advantage than fnatic, its said by GeT_RiGhT self. But Raw is not a good team, they dont have a real igl. Alex will be retired, he must get Savage instead him, But Alex's retired would make a big influence to this team,many says, Karl xf GoodRifle maybe retired followed. If the worst Tyloo only have team Raw.TB is born after 90's, he will be join Raw intead xiaoE.
