PG to WEM instead of mTw?

Sett.fi reports that Power Gaming will replace mTw for World e-Sports Masters 2010, as the Danish team does not have sufficient time in order to attend.

JooaAng Culture Media, the organizers behind World e-Sports Masters, had on Monday announced that the 2010 edition would take place between November 3-7 in Hangzhou with a prize purse of $69,000 for Counter-Strike alone.

News then broke three days later when the Chinese website Tatazu.com reported a list of eight teams they claimed to be official, in terms of attendees.

The supposedly leaked list contained the 2008 gold medalists mTw, but their attendance is now uncertain, sett.fi reports. It is believed that the Danes do not have enough time to dispose for the event.

The Finnish news site claims to have received information that mTw will be replaced by Power Gaming, the team who lost to fnatic in the last year's final. This makes the believed list looking like:

Evil Geniuses	TyLoo
Natus Vincere	fnatic
WeMade FOX	Power Gaming
Frag eXecutors	SK Gaming

The Chinese organizers have yet to confirm an official list, but Evil Geniuses, SK Gaming and Natus Vincere have all proclaimed their attendance.

Good! PG did really well last year at WEM (finished 2nd after fnatic, but they beat fnatic in the groupstage!). So it's good to see PG there rather than mtw

Well, PG did great last year at WEM so imo it's quite natural that they'd be invited again. I think the thing is also that PG needs such events to get back in the shape they were in the end of last year. If they would miss all the big events, first of all they would miss the chance to compete against the best teams and also they probably wouldn't get to constantly practice with the best as I doubt they would be so willing to play a lot if they had no events coming up. I would imagine before a big event pretty much everyone is practicing so it is also the best time to improve your shape in practice.

Averbukh claims that the two brothers are on their way to Meet Your Makers, where Dmitri "hooch" Bogdanov, Alexandr "xek" Zobkov and Andrey "XomA" Mironenko are understood to be about to leave. Their lineup isn't that much better than the old forZe so I doubt that they would beat PG.
