DSRack #3 release groups and seeds

The DSRack #3 organizers have informed HLTV.org with the results from the group draw and the seeds for the upcoming event.

The Danish event will take place at Kroeger's House, in Copenhagen, from 20-21 October, and will attract teams such as fnatic, mTw and Lions.

A €25,000 prize purse had initially been announced for the Counter-Strike tournament, but the figures were relying on fully booked tournaments.

A recent report published by HLTV.org read that the organizers might have to cut the purse to as low as only €7,000, as only 25 teams had signed up when the deadline was reached.

Exactly how much money will be introduced for the Counter-Strike tournament is currently unknown, but the numbers are expected to be announced within short time.

It was earlier reported that teams such as Frag eXecutors, forZe, Natus Vincere and MYM were looking at the idea of attending, and that they would give their final answers after WCG 2010. It now turns out that they bowed out, as none of them have been included in the groups.

Below you will find the official seeding:

Top seeding:

Sweden fnatic
Denmark mTw
Sweden RAGE-Gaming
Sweden Lions

Medium seeding:

Sweden Playzone
Denmark Full-Gaming (p00nhandlers)
Finland Power Gaming
Norway .no

Sune "crZy" Hansen, who is a part of the organizer crew and a DSRack member, responds to the situation regarding the teams who confirmed themselves for the event, but later chose to pull out.

"I'm not the one to judge anyone, but why confirm your presence if you are not attending? Several teams have confirmed their participation for DSRack #3 - more than half of them did not register nor pay in time. It's a shame that e-Sport is so unprofessional, because a lot of these teams are very serious about this event", Sune "crZy" Hansen told HLTV.org.

"I sincerely hope none of the teams will have any bad feelings towards DSRack, because we did everything in our power to create one of the best events in Europe of the last quarter this year. Good luck to the attending teams, see you next week!"

Stay tuned to HLTV.org as we will provide you with coverage of the Danish event.

Next time if a team confirm their attendance they should have to pay a % of the register fee. If money is on stake you will know sooner than later who is coming and who is not. Thus if in the end they do not attend at least the other teams they did all the process the right way get what they deserve (and the non-attending teams too).

Well, clearly PG has been all over the place online, but as far as I know, RAGE hasn't even participated in any LANs or have they? Since PG started playing again, they won the Finnish qualifier to WCG, 2nd at WCG Nordic (beating the Norwegian Lions team), 3rd at SEC (beating again the Norwegians and Millenium) so I'd say they've actually had quite stable performances on LAN. Although their stable level has been clearly below the best teams as they've lost to SK 2 times very clearly. It's clear that PG hasn't been on a top level yet and the former p00nhandlers failed quite badly at WCG after winning vs mTw at the Danish quals, but I think what people are critisizing is that RAGE players haven't even participated in any LANs and if you look at their record in EPS, sure they've won all their matches but they've played all the bottom teams of the league (and fnatic). They haven't faced SK, mTw, Lions or .no which are the 4 teams behind rage and fnatic in the standings.
