FG down mTw to face fnatic

Full-Gaming have repeated their showing at the Danish WCG qualifier, as they have downed mTw 2-1 in order to reach the Grand Final at DSRack LAN #3, facing the Swedish giants from fnatic.

Beating mTw with the score of 2-1 at WCG Denmark surely raised a lot of eyebrows. When Full-Gaming then went on to fluke at WCG 2010, people questioned whether it was just a one-time show against their Danish rivals. However, Full-Gaming have denied their critics as they have once again beaten mTw on Danish soil.

Full-Gaming started out by winning a close and intense first map, taking home a 16-14 victory on de_tuscan, with mTw being dangerously close to pulling off a comeback, after being down 11-4. The following map, de_train, would see the two teams go into overtime to determine the winner, this time witnessing mTw come out on top with a 19-16 scoreline.

Third and all-deciding map, de_inferno, saw mTw push for a 9-6 lead, after playing the CT side. Not much clicked for the WCG 2010 silver medalists, as Full-Gaming played a very well CT side, only allowing their opponents to take one round. With a 16-10 win, Full-Gaming successfully secured another win against mTw and a spot in the Grand Final against fnatic.

I think all of them equally contributed if you look at where they held their spots. Main reason FG won instead of mTw, cant always depend on zonic to clutch.

that is, of course, true, but still Karrigan showed impressive play throughout all three maps, arcadion done an amazing part as igl and also fragged a lot as CT, while friis awp was just amazing. Of course I do not want to take anything away from suranga and wazorn, because they played great too, but its obvious a player like suranga still needs some experience.

the main reason for FG to beat mTw is because arcadion reads ave's tacs like navi did on inferno at WCG they now each other so well. but deserved well played! :)

Well at least its one of the two best teams in Denmark that are in the finals.. Hope for another surprise :]

Sunde isn't as strong as he was back then with whiMp and MJE. Well honestly I think that atm ave zonic and trace are the main good players in mTw, can't really say Sunde and minet are as sharp as they can be. I would say mTw needs a change, but can't find other two players that would fit unless FG goes down.

You're right about Sunde. Can't say the same about minet because I thought he was brilliant today and has always been consistent. minet's consistency is only second to zonic.

I really really hope that ArcadioN and co. can make a result against fnatic, or else i'm inclined to think, the wins vs mTw are closely bound with the fact that Full Gaming know mTw very well, and that's why mTw are the only international top team Full Gaming can beat. That said; Full Gaming deserved this one - they played a heck of a game!

guess you didn't watch WCG grand final where Sunde was the strongest together with ave was for #42 btw :p

Imo the only reason why FG won again against mTw is that they really know them, they know how they will play as they are their country rivals, too bad FG cant read the game so much versus other teams
