face sends Na´Vi to lower-bracket

SK Gaming has after some solid play on the CT side of de_train, managed to send Natus Vincere to the lower-bracket at World e-Sports Masters 2010.

It promised for great action, when it was known that Na´Vi and SK would face off in the upper-bracket semi-final, especially with the map being de_train. Na´Vi, known for their very consistent CT play, got to start on the CT side and once again showed how dangerous they are on this particular map. The Ukrainians scored a total of 12 rounds, while SK managed to claim 3.

In the second half, the Swedes started getting out by getting the pistol-round, which was crucial to still having a chance to be able to win the match. This started a show by Johan "face" Klasson, who in the inner bombsite locked down Na´Vi round after round, taking several with him once he fell. Na´Vi tried hard to score some rounds, but was denied time and again. Also stand-in Marcus "Delpan" Larsson played a role in the SK victory, landing some important AWP shots on Na´Vi. SK took 13 rounds to straight to win 16-12 and send Na´Vi to the lower-bracket.

SK Gaming will next play the upper-bracket final, facing either WeMade FOX or Frag eXecutors, a match that will be played Friday, scheduled for 14:15CET. Na´Vi dropped to the lower-bracket, where they will take on Evil Geniuses Friday at 12:00CET, playing de_tuscan.

epic, brilliant, unexpected, a perfect demonstration by SK… this match defines the sentence "wtf just happened ?" all by itself. I hope this will give this team some ideas regarding a future new line-up, they really need it. and then they could become top3 again.

True for anyone, fact for markeloff. He has a team playing for him. Sure he is good, but he doesn't have the xfactor like delpan, sixer, friis, GoodRifle, etc. I would compare markeloff situation with Sunde's. Both overrated. Who was markeloff before navi? A great rifle player, nothing else.

consistency, a lot of times, is more important than x-factor.... and though I am a big fan of delpan and his quick reflexes, you can't really say that mark lacks these skills...he is up there with the very best. And NO he is not overrated at all! He deserves every bit of accolade he has got.

markeloff whiffs a bunch of important shots as well. the only difference between him and starix is that after markeloff misses easy shots he comes back with insane quick/noscopes to get the kill :D he is a great player, but is very overrated in his abilities. Na'Vi as a team deserve more credit than markeloff alone.

Actually moddii+face+delpan is just too much skill for any team to handle... Even if one goes mad, it almost ensures SK victory or a close match... I am just waiting for Robban's return...would make this team even better :)

Markeloff is still a very good individual player.. Moddii has always been good also. I never got why SK kicked Khyrstal, he was actually their best player for a while but I guess he didn't suit well in the team.

you are right, but all matches need an MVP. the only difference being that this time, he is part of the title, instead of just appearing in the description of the match. I'm sure nobody is forgetting how awesome moddii played or how crazy walle's triple kill @ inner was. and Nix0n was there so I guess he knows more than anyone else :D

i'm an SK fan myself, but this just proves how random bo1 can be... fnatic out and navi(prolly the best team in the world this/last year) losing to a team with a standin... lets face it, you wouldn't bet your life on that anytime soon :) bo3 is the way to go :p

I don't get you guys in two things. 1) that markeloff is only good due to his superstartteam. Did you see the match? Doubt it. Btw, markeloff is the only one from ukrainians who earned at least something(about 3k) in dreanteam. So where was his superteam?? All with negative statistic. 2) about Delpan. Again. Did you see the match? He was running with his AWP and half of times died without a single shot.... Just a useless game from him. So why everebody say Delpan in SK? Btw Delpan just +300$ in DT and it is even more than I expected. Their win is only on FACE who simply hit every shot and MODDII who perfectly secured the stair and humiliated edward. AND YES, ROBBAN >>>> DELPAN. Stop saying bullshit.

i hate this whole "x>x" thing. I agree with you on the markeloff point, on ct side he was the only player from navi that even turned up with a mouse in their hand imho but you can't possibly say that delpan played bad really, ct side and t side he featured, didnt have amazing scores playing with a team that he doesn't know very well i think he performed well. However, i agree with you.. if it's a choice between RobbaN and Delpan i would chose RobbaN, simply because i tihnk he is a great strat caller, a solid player and very consistant, but Delpan COULD/WOULD be a good replacement for walle or robban or any of the SK guys if they are leaving sk/CS.

I'm not claiming that Deplan is a bad player. Just saying that he was kinda lost in this particular game. He havn't done The difference for SK we were all waiting for. As T he only lost his awp several times even without shooting and as CT I either saw some weird stuff from him. just running somewhere with his awp without real benefit for his team. I do agree that Delpan is rather good. But just don't like this claims after game like +DELPAN SK... Based on what you all saying this? On this poor performance? Just strange....

Players like Delpan need much more experience in international tournaments. He hasn't been on the top that long and needs the adjustment to foreign elite game plays. Get_right is a good example.
