Video: Post-group stage with cArn

Patrik "cArn" Sättermon and fnatic secured top spot in their group. After the victory against .no, we got a hold of the fnatic captain for a post-group stage interview.

Once again we got to talk with the fnatic captain, just after he had unplugged his gear in the tournament area. We spoke with Patrik "cArn" Sättermon about the Made in Brazil squad, what he thinks about DreamHack adding de_mirage, playing the Norwegians on it and a lot more.

To view the interview in full length, hit play below.

You're implying that you could interview other members if you so wanted? If so, I'm pretty certain most people would prefer to hear the other guys speak as well. I'm pretty sure they all speak good enough english to be understood. Actually I know, since I've seen interviews with them before.

I am not going to call out names, but there are (in every team) players who do not want to do interviews.

Thing is, we do have our favorites and as mentioned, we strive for great interviews and we (as well as our readers/viewers) know that cArn will never fail in delivering this. I have done interviews with other fnatic members before, to this day I still prefer cArn, it might get old for some though.

to be a cock: it's not about what you prefer though but what the community prefer. i can agree that carn often does good interviews but i'd prefer an interview with dsn or f0rest over him, but i understand that those two guys are hard to get. but what about Gux? i've seen him in lots of interviews in the past and he's not that bad, he's pretty entertaining atually. however i must say i prefer carn over get_right.

well if the players don't want to they won't force them and I believe cArn is the one in fnatic who's the most accent in english, the answers would have been the same anyways but cArn's accent is more easily understandable

yeah i understand that dsn and f0rest are hard to get. but to mix it up a little they could put Gux (or even GeT_RiGhT from time to time) in front of the camera.

You all need to get a mic for the interviews, some times it is hard to make out what the players say with all the background noise. Otherwise, nice interview.

Ahhhhh, I remember that now, that sucks :( The interviews are still good, just have to re-listen to a select few parts because of background noise, that is all!

You guys should try getting a voice recorder, something like this one amzn.to/hNo6Fx and then on the video editing you would add the voice over the camera one.

his english is amazing but not only because he lives in UK, and i say this because a few months ago i went in school trip to italy and in the event that i have participated there was a lot of swedish girls and they spoke english very well to, like as if they did not know another language... so i think that english in sweden is very "promoted".

It is common that people from Denmark, Norway and Sweden speak English very well. I can only speak for my country, Denmark though, but I also believe that in Norway and Sweden they have English as a second language as early as 3rd grade in primary school. Danish politicians even think that we should learn English as early as 1st grade, so that will probably be a fact in a few years :-P

Whats with all people from the Scandinavian region speaking really really good English, it must be taught as soon as they are born? i know many learn it in school these days but it also seems like considering the level it is spoken it must be used frequently out and about as well? even when watching a few fnatic demos they type in team chat things like "nice" etc?? I guess what im asking is it spoken or phrases used when having conversations with another person who speaks the same language such as Swedish for example? Most Germans and Dutch speak it really well too.

i think it's because they: a) have better teachers b) got more hours of english (as in lessons in school) each week than other countries c) watch a lot shows on TV where they speak english, instead of other countries where they tend to dub it. it's amazing how much of the language you can pick up just by watching tv-series like every day.
