Chinese IEM qualifier announced
The Intel Extreme Masters organizing committee have announced the Chinese qualifier for the World Championship – Set to find one team that will represent the People's Republic of China in Hannover, Germany.
During the coming weeks, a qualifying stage will take place for the Chinese teams, fighting for one spot to the IEM5 World Championship. ESL reports more than 70 teams have already signed up, including runners-up from last year, Taiwanese-based team UMX Gaming. Also the Chinese flagship TyLoo has signed up to participate in the race.

Savage and TyLoo - a great candidate to win it
The qualifier will start out in a group stage, where teams will be divided in groups based on what region they hail from. In the end eight teams will battle it out in a final tournament, set to find the team to represent China at the IEM5 World Championship in March.
ESL still has an additional spot for Asian teams, but no indications have been made as to how the spot will be distributed. The fourth IEM season saw the Asian Championship Finals take place offline in Taipei, Taiwan – where WeMade FOX triumphed against UMX Gaming in the Grand Final. Both qualified for the World Championship, but the latter was prevented from attending the event.
