WCG reveal 2011 host city in Feb.

World Cyber Games will in early February reveal the host city for the 2011 Grand Finals – The 2011 game titles will follow later the same month.

Usually the host city for the next WCG is announced either before or just after the annual event. At the 2010 event in Los Angeles, nothing had been revealed in regards to where WCG 2011 would take place. WCG President and CEO Hyoung-Seok Kim told HLTV.org at the press conference that they were still in the process of reviewing city applications.

In October, a rumor suggested that Shanghai would be the host city for 2011, but two months later, another rumor spawned, saying the event would take place in South Korea.

Where will WCG 2011 take place?

So far nothing has been confirmed nor declined from WCG. In a news post on the WCG website, it is stated that the 2011 host city will be announced in the early days of February. Also the 2011 game titles will be revealed during the month of February, can we expect Counter-Strike to once again be one of the game titles?

It's about time they hold it in Korea again imo, although I doubt it could match the scale or impressiveness of 2003 (maybe I'm just biased as it was my first one). It's cool having it in Europe or the States, but I just don't think the general public interest and ambience is the same as what you find in Asia host countries where the economic scales means players get better treated, and the public is genuinely interest (case in point, the ridiculous amount of spectators in Chengdu)
