Iron Will confirm new lineup

Iron Will have confirmed the reports about the possibility of swapping two players – The team today signed with former Virtus.pro duo Viktor "Sally" Filimonchenko and Boris "Snoop" Podvalshikov.

Late Thursday night word broke out that the Russian project Iron Will would once again undergo changes. The team had in mid-January picked up Sergey "hally" Shavaev as Artem "Fierce" Ivanov had decided to leave.

The Russian team Friday afternoon confirmed that the squad had indeed change two players, as yesterdays reports suggested. Out went the young duo Sergey "hally" Shavaev and Anton "mash" Petrov in favor of bringing in the veteran duo Viktor "Sally" Filimonchenko and Boris "Snoop" Podvalshikov.


Sally joins up with old teammates

Iron Will now have:

Russia Alan "Fly" Temirov
Russia Johan "F_1N" Kochugov
Russia Alexey "LeX" Kolesnikov
Russia Viktor "Sally" Filimonchenko
Russia Boris "Snoop" Podvalshikov

The roster is very similar to one of the previous Virtus.pro constellations, which seems to please the Russian community after the many shakeups in the scene as of late.

Iron Will are currently participating in Intel Challenge Sup Cup 7, where they currently have six wins and two loss’, putting them in ninth place, which is outside the magic six that will advance to the season finals later this year.

no, virtus.pro did not die because of LeX's health condition. Arbalet stopped sponsoring them and k23 as they did not achieve anything apart from Asus cups. So hooch and romjke joined together with AdreN and Nick3l + F_1n to try to do something in European cs community.

have u watch his last demo's from proplay, from mix's etc? nope? snoop was allready kicked from IW coz of his lvl. i mean he is a good player at all, but very unstable - and we can't call him a good player, just coz of good stats at csdm. Whatever sometimes i do in top russian csdms like 300:120-150 or something like this, and i am not a semi-pro player yet. So csdm stats is just nothing, forget it.

as far as I know, groove is assisting MYM. MYM.ru is still a much stronger team. never expect much from old school players, you will end up disappointed like when you all were so happy to see zet come back. but will be interesting to see what they can do internationally.
