WGF second group stage draw

Groups have been drawn for the next stage of the tournament in which Alchemists, HEADSHOTBG and BGDoNLINE and WGF will be joining the competition.

The first stage of the tournament in Bijelo Polje, Montenegro came to a close today and it saw ENTiTY and neXtPlease! topping their respective groups. They were joined by two second placed teams from Serbia, iNation and SBC, as the top seeded teams for the draw.

The medium seeded teams were the ones who payed the extra entry fee - Alchemists, HEADSHOTBG and BGDoNLINE, plus the team sponsored by the organization, WGF. The 3rd and 4th placed teams in the first group stage were seeded lowest.

Also, the teams who already played against each other were not allowed to be drawn in the same group.

The draw produced the following:

The matches in the second group stage will be played all 30 rounds, as there are only 3 teams per group and round difference might play a big role in deciding who goes through.

In the quarter final, 1st and 2nd placed teams from Group A will meet 2nd place and 1st placed from Group C, respectively. Also, 1st and 2nd place from Group B will play against 2nd and 1st in Group D.

The tournament will continue on Thursday, February 17th with the second group stage starting at 09:00CET, while the quarter final matches are scheduled to be played right after. However, due to time constraints they might be played in Best of 1 mode instead of Best of 3. Stay tuned to HLTV.org as we will bring you the action live from Montenegro.
