mousesports add ODIE as sixth

German powerhouse mousesports has announced the acquiring of Max "ODIE" Knappe as the team's sixth member.

The former n!faculty member has been brought aboard as the team has been looking to fill the substitute role left empty by Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel.

mousesports explain the add-on by referring to ESL Pro Series' new rule book and wild card system, which, cited directly, has caused a handicap.

"It's a tough handicap to play all your matches in time with your starting lineup, especially when one match can significantly weaken your season's overall performance in this new EPS system", mousesports' website reads.

The German player last made headlines when his former home, n!faculty, confirmed him as a player for another season of the German EPS.

Moreover, Manuel "Tixo" Makohl will be unable to play in the team's second match of the season tomorrow. With Knappe being barred for another playday, Team Coordinator Pouria "puri" Naseri Goki will suffice.

mousesports now boast the following six:

Germany Manuel "Tixo" Makohl
Germany Roman "roman" Ausserdorfer
Germany Manuel "approx" Zeitz
Germany Thanh Vinh "ninja" Bui
Denmark Finn "karrigan" Andersen
Germany Max "ODIE" Knappe

they won IEM Europe finals in 2010 and finished 2nd in Arbalet Cup Dallas, after Na´vi. But yeah, lately they have not been doing so well.

roman, Tixo and the rest of the team are fantastic players, but imo, they need more teamplay, it seems to me that they're so simple. I tought that they maybe would surprise at IEM5, but noooo.

It was their first event, but imo ninja is a fail in game leader. -ninja+gob b and they maybe have a chance being a top team again.

ODIE's a great player I've liked him for a while but man, mosuesports are really grasping at straws it seems. :S perhaps they shouldn't rush lineup decisions and maybe coast through this series and then make more long term plans.

Mouz is getting the best from out there. They have their shitty leagues but it's the most active country there is, give room for new hungry names

Yeah but I doubt ODIE will stay, If this is for long term than I'm all for it ^^ It just seems Mouz' plans haven't been looking towards the future, which frankly winning an EPS is great but I'd like to see them try and build the club like 2007-2009 with future international events in mind. Not saying the lineup couldn't stand internationally as it is but it doesn't seem very long term.

You got a good point there. Mouz got to be a strong house back in the days and they really need a winning lineup now. But I see no harm in ODIE, he's a hungry talented player
