WCG confirms Korea location?
The World Cyber Games has given its strongest indication yet that the tournament will return to South Korea.
Sources in Asia have claimed for the past weeks that the 2011 tournament will take place in Busan, and WCG staff member Sean Lee appears to have confirmed such reports in the announcement of the first nine games for the event.
"We are excited to unveil the official game titles for the 2011 Grand Final and we look forward to another exciting year of competition to crown the best players in the world in Korea," he said.
Busan, located in the southeast of Korea, is the country's second biggest city, with a population of around 3.6 million people.
With the move, the World Cyber Games returns to South Korea, where it hosted its first four events, from 2000 to 2003.
The WCG commitee has not yet revealed the dates for the 2011 edition, for which Counter-Strike: 1.6 has been announced as an official title.
