Swedish WCG qual at DH Summer

DreamHack Summer will stage the Swedish qualifier for the 2011 World Cyber Games, however not in all nine game titles.

Just like previous years, the final battles in the Swedish qualifier WCG will take place at DreamHack. The Swedish event organizer DreamHack, today announced the Summer event will play host to the final WCG qualifying stage for the Swedes.

Not much more information was released, but the official press release did however state details about the qualifiers will be made public soon. With WCG announcing nine game titles Monday, DH has stated that they will not host qualifiers in all of the nine games.

In fact, DH is still to reveal what games they will host qualifiers in. With the past support to Counter-Strike 1.6 and the fact that DreamHack Summer will also host a Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament, there should be no worries about CS not having a qualifier.

Nothing is mentioned about the qualification stage for the Nordic countries overall, last year saw Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish teams duke it out for just one paid spot to WCG 2010, in a Nordic qualifier in Helsinki.

truely agree. Sweden deserves 2 slots, and Denmark deserve 1 slot. So there is none-sens when Sweden, Denmark, Norway only have 1 slot sponsored to WCG final. Unless you want to make an ironic decision =DDDD

Last year was rly bad, cos of 1 paid spot. Hopelly this year it will be 1 paid spot for each of the countries.

Yes, but last year fnatic didnt participate as a protest for having a qualy between 3 countrys with only one paid spot. Denmark have a qualy just for them.

hey they won their first tournament with their new lineup :P but they failed at the last tournament. but you gotta give them some more time :) aslong as cArn and dsn stays in fnatic they will always be my favourite team.

That was suprising for me actually. But considering Navi was playing like 4 man team with Edward playing very bad. You can see when Edward is performing it makes such a huge difference to navi. coming first place straight away in IEM5. and without f0rest fnatic is not the fnatic I used to lovee :S
