TCM & alchemists to attend Xperia

According to the information gathered by HLTV.org, TCM-Gaming and alchemists Unleashed are set to attend Xperia PLAY.

Despite the fact that neither team is listed on the official participants' list, HLTV.org has been in contact with both sides and received confirmation about their attendance.

With the two squads joining the likes of mTw and fnatic, the event is starting to look like something that could easily become one of this year's highlights.

It is not unlikely that TCM-Gaming will be looking to leave a more noteworthy mark at this event than what they did at IEM5 World Championship, namely placing 11-12th together with redCode.

Friis & Snappi's next event on home soil

Nevertheless, the team did manage to advance out of the IEM5 European Finals in Kiev after coming atop the likes of mousesports and forZe, but a top placing would definitely look good for the Danish squad.

The Norwegian team alchemists Unleashed on the other hand have been playing their game in a convincing manner so far this year, racking up three wins within a short period of time.

This, together with the recent bolstering of their team, which they did by adding André "BARBARR" Möller for Kristian "KORN" Hokland, the squad will in all likelihood enter the tournament with a batch full of confidence.

Xperia PLAY will take place at Copenhagen Games, between 21-24 April, and hand out the impressive amount of €20,000 in cash prizes.

Because a coach isn't inside the game. You cannot call strats when you do not fully comprehend what's going on in the game. Telling your team to go A or B isn't being an IGL. An true IGL must try to understand the evolution of the game to a mind reading point, analize your team's development, perfect it and most importantly, analize your opponent's game. People do not understand how hard that is, and to still have to frag.

He's definitely not the most popular player to have graced the Norwegian scene. Mainly, people bash him around for not being a proper aimer, but tend to forget the rest of his qualities.

Kan svare deg på norsk. Den ESWC ticketen var aU sin fra forje ESWC. Det er relaiteten, orgaen aU eide den. Og siden jeg eide aU ble ticketen egentlig min! :) Det er realiteten, dessuten var det bare top 3 SOM fikk ESWC plass til forje eventet. Men jeg ordnet så 4 plassen også fikk plass. SÅ hva da bashed ? Tror du fader meg få fakta riktig før du utaler deg. Den tilhørte ingen spillere men orgaen :)

they have just reunited... they just need time to play more together that is all.. do you think lurppis and their buddies are gonna waste time for nothing.. i dont think so.. they are going to be back to that level where they were in roccat team.. they just need more time thats all.. and if they get back than they will be hell good... just like they were..

I'm sorry if I offend you in any way, but they'll never be as good as they were. Only lurppis takes CS seriously, rest of the guys only want free trips and vacations by playing computer games.. Quoting you; " they just need time to play more together that is all.." That would be correct, but if they don't practise, why even bother trying to succeed at lans? My guess would be that they will change some players, or don't go to this event at all.

dennis is just as good as moddii, he just need some more routine and that he will get. he will be the next f0rest if he just goes for it. super sick dude. and i think dennis fits better into a team, he doesnt need to be the star, he's actually a really good teamplayer as well. moddii kinda needs the starplayer role to be successful, like he had in MYM and now has in alchemists.

u can´t really compare moddii with dennis. Yes, dennis is a youngster and probably could be a very good player...in the future. moddii is a hardcore fragger and he has been starplayer in every team he has played in.

i just did, didn't i? they both have been stand-ins in SK. ok, so moddii has had a little more international experience because of his time in MYM, but still, it's not that huge of a difference between them. personally i think dennis will very soon grow into a better player than moddii, if he will get a permanent spot in SK (which from what ive heard, he will). and the fact is that moddii will probably never be a player in one of the world's best teams. not because he wouldnt be good enough, because he probably would be, but due to his personality (and probably a bit due to his playing style which i described in my earlier comment) he won't get the chance. so the only possibility, the way i see it, for moddii to establish himself among players like f0rest and Neo is if he himself can take a team up there. excuse my ranting but what im trying to say here is that dennis will get that opportunity and he will make the most out of it, compared to moddii whom i just dont see will get the chance in SK/fnatic/other international topteam.

I get your point. But what i am saying is that dennis could be a very good player, maybe even better than f0rest or get_right..who knows - but there is a big question in here. Will he be? When? I don´t see it happening in the near future atleast. On the other hand moddii is already internationally experienced and is the ultimate fragging power. Take a look at the stats @ IEM Global finals, dennis finished last in SK. Just imagine if moddii would have been playing instead of dennis - they probably would have won vs FX and probably win the whole event. Sometimes these few extra frags is the key to win the match - these little frags that moddii would most likely make; dennis not.

fair standpoint you got there. though personally i dont think it would've been much of a difference. what dennis lacks in routine, he makes up for with his teamplay. i dont think anyone can say for a fact what the difference in terms of the final standing for the SK team would've been if they instead had played with moddii but even if dennis were the worst player individually for the swedes, perhaps he sacrificed himself and opened up opportunities for the aimstars GeT_RiGhT and f0rest and because of it may have granted SK a better result than they may (or may not) have achieved with a more selfish player like moddii. if we speak about the current SK-lineup i think the right dose for the team is another team player since they already have GTR and f0rest, instead of having 3 of them, which is in my opinion one too many. 1 igl (robban), 2 support players (dennis/allen and face) and 2 aimers (f0rest & GeT_RiGhT) is to me the perfect combination of a team. and it's just a bonus that dennis can step up if needed and be as sick individually as the two aforementioned. but this is just how i look at the game of counter-strike :-)
