Russians bow out of ICSC 7

The first day at the Intel Challenge Super Cup 7 finals has just come to an end, and the Russian participants are the ones packing their bags.

Iron Will travelled this event with hope, rather than expectation, having changed one player, and then re-added two others, but the former Virtus.pro line-up were simply miles away from the opposition, losing all five matches.

USSR fared a little bit better, winning two matches, and they would have made it through had KerchNET not defeated Natus Vincere in the last group match.

Na´Vi topped the group, on 10 points, the same as Frag eXecutors, whose only defeat came at the hands of KerchNET.

The third place went to the former spraynpray team, now known as DTS, who only fell short to Na´Vi and FX on day 1.

Its just what i think... at T side NaVi was playing like a trash, and this loose is only caps fault, they waste too many raunds with rubish weapons when they can take eco and take round with good weps armors and grenades. (like: Fuck that we are buying lads, we will beat them with deagles, and all raunds like that when they must make 1 eco) caps fault will make them loose

Fx NEVER play tuscan if i am not mistaken... I think a middle team with best map de_nuke can beat NaVi, but in other maps they will be raped... So... And Navi lost on purpose ... I didn't see the game... but CMON USSR >>>> Kersh...

why does it matter now, kerchnet did their best and got through which I think is totally deserved. kerchnet is a team of young players and it's great to see them progress, a year or two ago nobody knew these players and now they upset big dogs. first they beat m5 to get into top6 and now they beat FX and Na'Vi to get to top4. way to go!

It is not surprising, Na'Vi helped UKR cs, so would do Russian team, if and only IF they had some team which performs at a level similiar to Na'Vi's, but unfortunately they don't. And it will never happen, unless Russian top players stop fighting with each other and form something really strong... I don't blame Na'Vi, they are the best team tbh. Russians aren't noobs it's all about the teams lineups. They hadn't found the "right" line up which could really start trainings and show good gameplays / teamplays at Europe level. I remember how long it took time for Ukrainian to make that Na'Vi line up, maybe about year? There was Hell Raisers, Knet etc.. So in the end they just joined together and there it its "Na'Vi" worlds best team. So hopefully Russian could somehow find the way because there is a lot good and talented players in Russia, but nobody care about them, everyone just want to see "Lex" and old school gamers in there, "isn't it time for younger players?"

"Russians aren't noobs" +1 but now they play source better than 1.6, and since it's the last year of 1.6 imho we will never see younger Russian top team. "to make that Na'Vi line up, maybe about year?" actually it took the whole history of ukrainian 1.6 :) it just happened. and since there are no gaming organizations in Ukraine, it won't happen again. So generally the future of 1.6 in CIS is very sad.
